Canada having an explicit law to allow people to say sorry without admitting guilt is literally the most Canadian thing I've ever heard in my life
  • @aeriumfour6096
"We copied and pasted that low-res jpg ourselves, how DARE you question our creativity"
  • The DDoS attack was very likely everyone who watched the Jerryrig and LTT videos going to look at their "allegedly" stolen case designs.
  • @DavidLeeKersey
100% Casetify is going to throw someone under the bus by blaming a subcontractor.
  • @Jackamo6200
I can confirm that in the UK, we use “Sorry?”, “I beg your pardon?” and “pardon?” (which can all be used aggressively or casually)
  • @TheGameBench
"We investigated our actions and found we did nothing wrong, but we're going to remove them from store shelves anyways."
  • @cherrypepsi2815
"Bastian of Originality" is like something straight out of a parody lmao
  • @ROCKONNGUNDAMS
Sounds like they meant "hundreds of people checking over every publically available page for accuracy pertaining to the lawsuit" instead of DDOS attack.
  • @afterburnerfox
Linus finally enjoying other peoples drama after his own got sorted out we're back to the good ol days
  • @ADHDad
Lying about a ddos seems to be the first thing PR firms have decided to do whenever they are in an altercation with an 'internet' entity.

"We copied and pasted that low-res jpg ourselves, how DARE you question our creativity" I have always been a bastion of originality.
  • @WarChortle
“Investigating” = who casetify will fire as the fall guy.
  • @midgettiger6389
Using sorry as a question is not just a Canadian thing. We use it in the south.
  • @Shundi879
I bet these cases show up on EBay as “Banned” and “Rare” cases.
  • @GoodGamer3000
The craziest thing about it is that the designs weren't just copied and pasted. They were copied, pasted, then edited—"let's add an easter egg, change some colors, oops we missed something, that was on the original device, right?..." It didn't even seem like much of a shortcut. Like, brother, if you're going to put so much work into stealing, why not just take your own scans? It just seems like a ridiculously poorly executed scam.

How do you find the Canadian in a crowd of people? You step on everyone's foot, and the person who apologizes to you is the Canadian.
  • @rosshalford4041
The DDoS was probably everyone going there to check out the rip off merch for themselves. When they saw all the traffic and no sales, "Oh no, we are being DDoS!!!"
  • @skodass1
Dbrand... brutally honest with a sparkle in their eyes... especially when it comes to Linus and his audience.
  • @The_Slavstralian
Sorry, its a pretty clear case of copyright infringement. As Luke said, What is the expected outcome of the investigation? All they will do is find the lazy SOB who Copy/Pasta, and fire them. Its pretty open shut. I would love to see Legal Eagle's take on the whole thing.
