  • Im super appreciative of everyone. Just to be clear, I am Piedmont born and raised, not Appalachia. I don't deserve any credit for Appalachian music, there are many gifted folks doing their thing further west of me. Love y'all. ❤

He's definitely not just a one hit wonder. This man has real talent!

I'm a black man from Southwest Detroit, and every time I listen to bro, I feel like he's talking to ME. I shared my background because I want those who read this to know there are more things we have in common than divides us. The rich men north of Richmond want us to believe otherwise so they can continue to profit off of ALL of us. We need to unite if we're ever gonna see true change. ✌🏾
  • Your music about failures, challenges, almost giving up, fears, yet still holding on to faith, even if it is a mustard seed, speaks to the heart of so many. Please keep singing.
  • Ive struggled tremendously with heroin addiction the last 2 years. Today i have 9 days clean because of your story, your voice, and your music
  • @mechael
As a Christian, I can say that this song is a LOT more spiritual, deep, and edifying than many so-called praise songs these days. Oliver, stay strong, my brother.
  • Not the country man we deserve, but the country man we need, thank you for being here

My house was struck by lightning and burned to the ground April 9. My wife and kids and even my PTSD service animal made it out alright. We lost everything and my truck got struck too. A friend at church gave me one of their old guitars so I could sit and pick to try and destress… So here I sit with tears streaming down my face and guitar learning to play this and feeling every minute of it. Your music is helping me through one of the most difficult seasons of my life and i want to thank you brother and pray that the Lord continue to bless the work of your hands and the fruit of your vine. Thank you Oliver.
  • Don't change your style, don't record your songs in a studio, don't get a band. Those songs are perfect like that: recorded in the backyard of a house in the forest and with a powerful message. Sublime.
  • As a Texan dying slowly of Pancreatic cancer Stage 4....I needed this song. It brings me piece. Godspeed Yall. ❤
  • As a 50-year-old Englishman. Raised on a farm by my grandparents. This hits home.
  • They ought to put your picture in the dictionary next to the word Integrity. Keep the faith. I was delivered by Jesus Christ from alcohol addiction when my church gathered around me and prayed over me. I tried for 4 years on my own and after that prayer I have not had the desire for a drink for 16 years this summer. I'm 62 and you insprired me with your honest heartfelt lyrics. Stand strong brother. and again keep the faith He will never let you down. May Jesus keep you strong. God bless.

Im a muslim, and I greatly resonate with this song, thank you. I feel like there is a forgotten America out there, that is largely getting ignored.
  • You're a God sent gift, singing healing songs to soothe troubled minds and lift heavy hearts! I'm a Black American patriot and all of your songs resonate with me. I love you , brother from another mother❣️

The voice of "We The People"...Not many folks could resist the fame, fortune to later be blinded of what they've become. My total respect goes out to you Chris, keep doing your thing and avoid the meat grinder. God bless you brother, we've been needing real music for a very long time now.
  • @fullbeard
You are the voice for the voiceless whether you want to be or not. Embrace it and don't change. Stay true to you. We all love you for how raw and real you are.
  • @SassyAF.
Oh wow! Thank you for speaking for the forgotten men and women of America 🇺🇸 God bless you! 🙏🏼
  • I can't even figure out what it is about this guy, but I can't get enough of him and his music.
  • I work 84 long hours a week no days off. This type of music helps me through my days. Thank you Oliver Anthony.
