You are such an awesome and wholesome scientist, Dr. Bruce Bugbee!
-
You are my new favorite scientist!
-
So much useful information in this video ! Hats off to the professor, this is extremely impressive
-
So in Love with your high energy input, to my brain 🧠
-
Thank you soooo much for the knowledge you share. I don’t have enough time or money to go to school for agricultural and you make it possible for me to know more than common knowledge on growing. Thank you sooo much Bruce.
-
Very nice. Thankyou.

Photosynthesis... the Rube-Goldberg machine of photochemistry. We can make food at ten to 100 times the efficiency of plant based photosynthesis by making solar hydrogen, first, and then synthesizing our way up the organic chain to simple sugars and proteins. Within 20-30 years we will be doing exactly that.

I really love your videos Dr. Bugbee!!! you teach so well that I almost need no notes, keep with this awesome work please!!!
-
Wow, this talk really needs to be shown around
-
Awesome video thank you sir!
-
I have learnt so much. This is an honest thank you <3
-
Thank you Prof Bugbee, I’ve watched many of your videos and your extensive knowledge is valued. I wish I had of paid more attention to chemistry and biology in high school, I wouldn’t have to learn it all again but this time it’s fun to watch and care for a seed from germination to harvest, no better feeling really.

Reminded me of about 50 yrs ago, back at MIT, cool info w/out being boring or confusing!
-
Havent seen such a satisfying info input since university, thanks a lot sir.
-
Kaboom! Love it! Thanks for sharing your insights with us.

Raised on a farm I rarely listen to any one about cropping , BUT ..... ☝️ This guy , , amazing !!! The plant God 🌴🍀

28:27 How about greenhouses with a transparent photovoltaic layer that only absorbs the wavelengths the plants can't use? Could get over 42.
-
I think there is a mistake on the efficiency of the blue light. As far as I know the lower the wavelength the efficiency decreases. until we get to 270 nm wavelength and the efficiency is at 2 percent. 460 nm wavelength depending on the source probably at 20 to 40 percent efficiency. Please feel free to correct me, if anyone has a higher efficiency LED chip on those wavelengths.

Thank you for sharing, such a great channel.

This is super informative!! Thank you
