Hey guys!
I talk about the classes I took, overall GPA, UC GPA vs. school GPA, specifics about my extracurriculars, and general essay responses to four questions. I remember binge watching these videos when it was my college applications season and I found them super informative. I hope you find this video helpful :))

  • Thank you so much for the super insightful video! I’d love to see more of those university videos 💕💕💕

I really enjoyed your video. Potential college students especially those wanting to get into the UC system should watch this video. Very informative.

Ngl, i feel like with your stats and ECs, you have the potential to get into one of the ivy leagues. I'm not too familiar with these so I'm not sure but I've seen people get into an ivy league with worse stats and less ECs.

I’m so jealous of te opportunities your school gave you, ours didn’t let us take weighted classes until sophomore year and even then there were only 2 available

Oh man… I currently go to a german private school, and I‘ve been lucky so far. I‘ve been programming for a couple years now, and want to study computer science in America, especially at Berkeley. I still have a bit of time, but I hope that I‘ll get accepted, when I reach in my application.

thank you for the video! i just wanted to ask, how were you able to find all of these programs/internships? i am currently a freshman and am trying to find some ECs that i can possibly do in the future. :)
  • Good evening! You did a great job with your academics and extracurriculars. It is very impressive that you did! For right now, I am working on my AA degree in general Ed at a 2-year college. I have been studying at a 2-year college for 7 years. After I complete with my AA degree in general Ed, I will be getting training for acting on television. Acting is really that I am passion in. Including journalism on television. After I do my training for acting, I will be earning my BA degree in journalism at a 4-year college. Back in high school, I was planning to be taking journalism as my elective course. However, I had to focus on my courses to learn about a job. I have taken coping skills, life skills, study skills, vocational skills, basic math, economics, personal finance, and business. I have chosen web design, word processing, Spanish, theatre, and chorus for myself. For the rest of elective courses, they have chosen for me. Back in high school, I had to switch schools from state to state for another year because my dad's military. He is technically my stepdad, but I always call him dad because he is the man who raised me as a military child. I was born in the city of Buffalo in New York. I was diagnosed with autism at age 3. I lived in my hometown back in my early childhood until age 5. Then, I had to PCS everywhere in the states for many years. I am working on my second book which is called my life throughout with autism and being a military child. Once I complete with my AA degree, I will be including that in my first book. It will be the same content but different chapters. Including my 2-year college graduation in my first book. I have been to 6 different elementary schools, 2 different middle schools, 4 different high schools, and 3 different community colleges. I really enjoyed watching your video because your video has been inspired to me. You did a great job with your video. I speak Spanish and English fluently. At a young age, I learned Spanish and English at the same time. However, I was not able to have a conversation in Spanish until age 16 back in 11th grade. I started to speak it fluently at age 18 back in college. I graduated from high school in the spring of 2016. I did not even take any APs nor honors courses due to my military move. I was mostly in mainstream courses with one-on-one assistant back in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. I was in a first row earning my high school diploma because I was a top 10% of my graduation class. I was ranked 28 out of 335 students from high school. Back in my senior year of high school, I was going to major in computer specialist as my college degree. Due to my lower scores in reading and writing, I have switched from computer specialist as getting my college degree to management as getting my college diploma. When it was my first time attended to a 2-year college, I have taken development courses for reading and writing. Then, I took my first college math course that relates to my management major. When I moved from state to state for another 2 years, I have switched from management as getting my college diploma to general Ed as getting my AA degree because I have decided to work on my AA degree at a 2-year college. I had to take development courses for English all over again. Including for math. Later on, I have taken college courses for English and math for my general education major requirements. I have been working on my AA degree for 6 years, but the total is 7 years that I studied at a 2-year college. As I said before, I will be receiving my training in acting after I have finish with my AA degree in general Ed. Then, I will be earning my BA degree in journalism for 3 years at a 4-year college. My dream career is to be an actor and journalist from television at a young age. Back in high school, I was good with math and science. When I went to college, I have started to do good with reading and history. That is why many actors and journalists have to do good with writing, reading, and history. I am good with reading and history, but I need to comprehend very well on my lectures because sometimes I have trouble with it. I have taken journalism course in this past spring semester. For right now, I am taking mass media. I am almost finish with that course in this semester. That is why I have to work on it. I am trying good to be comprehending the lectures everyday. That is why I am learning something new everyday. Back in 10th grade, I have worked on my geometry workbook at home. That was why I took advanced algebra in 12th grade. In 11th grade, I was in a math course at a small group. However, I was with general education students most likely. I graduated from high school with a regular education diploma. Will be earning my AA degree next semester in May. My name is Andres by the way. It is pleasure to meet you, Anshika! Again, you did a great job with your academics and your extracurriculars. It is very impressive that you did. My bio parents are from Puerto Rico, and my stepdad is from Colombia. I have a younger brother in my mom's side. Also, I have four younger sisters and one baby brother in my bio dad's side. I grew up with my family who are from Colombia and Puerto Rico. I have a nephew in my first younger sister's side. If you want to know which states I lived in before, my first book will be ready to publish on Amazon. Good luck with college wherever you attend. God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️
  • Hey Anshika! I’m in India, taking the IB curriculum, with three subjects as HL and three as SL. Do I still need to take AP courses or does Berkeley or any other collage think of IB as sufficient? Also, when you talk about extracurriculars, what kind of proof do the colleges require - jsut the small write up and mention or any certifications or pictures? This information would be really helpful, thank you🫶🏻
  • @shivamnakrani2105
Hey anshika! Loved your video and it has genuinely been so helpful... i had a question though, is physics or any science(chem or bio) required to do cs? As i have maths and IT right now, im so confused please help me out
  • @alexa-zy4sq
Thank you for the informative video! I've been binging UC acceptance videos because I'm planning on applying and this was very helpful :) Currently I'm a junior in high school and I've been trying to do as much community service and extracurriculars as possible. I've heard it's actually more important for colleges to see a few extracurriculars in one topic than having many extracurriculars without a focus. Would you recommend only sending in extracurriculars related to my major or everything that I've participated in? For context, I am part of 6 clubs (french, HOSA, french NHS, medical, amnesty, and key club), a medical program at a university, have shadowed at a clinic for a week, and have run a fundraiser for a non-profit at my school.
  • @user-ej9wj7rp4p
hi, im wondering how you took so many classes in the summer because i thought only 40 credits is allowed?
  • @Kimmy_Chi
Thanks for the informative video! I’m a junior applying later this year. What major did you put on the UC app and do you think it was necessary for a ton of your extracurriculars and essays to relate to them? Don’t know if I should draft multiple PIQs related to a particular major
  • @_RiyaPrashar
Hii. If I am from a country or a school that does not bring up so many opportunities for high schoolers then what should we do.
  • @user-gg6tw7gy2d
Hello. Thank u for such a nice video. I just have one question. Is volluteering at zoos or other places where I am able to help people may help me and play a positive role in my enrollment process?
  • @vishwawt2889
Awesome video. Can you let me know what kinda volunteer work you did at Red cross? was it in-person or remote work?
  • @calimom21
Did you get to start UCB as a sophomore with all of your duel enrollment classes? Or how does it work? Do you plan to graduate in 3 years (or do you still need to be there 4 years)? Asking for my children who are in a California HS.
