And they habe politely affirmed that Kensington couldn't send Badman Harry & Megz cause they quit the Royal Family which I definitely read but at first I thought it was a metaphor but they legit QUIT 🤣. Thanks my UK Folkdem and welcome to Foreign Land! 2. TW for the lil belt crack at the end. Yet again, another attempt at being clever having irrevocable harm for my folks dem

"Why are we part of a commonwealth, that we share no wealth in common with?" That goes hard
  • @TaraMooknee
this turned out even better than I dreamed of, thank you for having me! you killed it man 🖤 PS. the cow apologies she couldn't be there.
  • The monarchy as a global institution may not survive Big Liz. That the Carribean will lead this makes this Irishman very, very happy. It's poetic, really.

I've been side eyeing Will since he made that speech about African overpopulation will destroy the environment, while having his third kid... If you actually cared about the environment, lets look at the carbon footprints that actually matter. Your children's effect on the environment is at least 10x more than the average person (with all their flying), let alone someone in a rural area. It just came of eugenic-y. Also, when he did a similar shoulder ride thing (like what happened in Belize) in my home country of Kenya.

Slabs is an it/its icon and it makes me feel more confident about using he/it And potentially being a parent. You’re using neopronouns perfectly, Foreign. The questions kids ask about gender issues being so simple and human made me tear up a lil bit. Now that I’m seen and I’m feeling warmer, it’s time to see some horrific British imperial racism. I’m so happy former colonies are establishing and declaring their independence, and it’s insulting they should even have to deal with British royals desperately trying to get their power vacuum to suck like it used to.

I already felt on top of the world when you started putting "non-binary folk dem" in your greeting but when you sometimes put it at the front so we don't seem like an afterthought or on unequal footing I really feel like I can do anything. It's a little thing that really doesn't mean anything but it never fails to instantly boost my mood no matter what. Just wanted to say thanks, I see and appreciate what you're doing <3
  • Honestly, I love the edit of going from talking about your friend and oppression to the news footage of "Barbados has transitioned". Got the biggest laugh out of me, 10/10
  • Slabs sounds like a wonderful human and I will defend it to my dying breath. Also referring to the child as 'Sheldon' is a great way of keeping the kid's name private while also injecting some humor into this. Also also, I wish I had a friend in my life as good as you are to Slabs.
  • @chrisball3778
Between the three of you, you absolutely nailed it. The British monarchy is just such a ridiculous institution that it's hard to believe it'll last much longer. I had no idea that other countries had to pay to host royal visits- that just adds insult to all the massive historical injury.
  • I'm a 40 year old Scottish woman living in London with a lot Irish family. I've never been a big fan of the monarchy but these things are just so normalised that we don't usually register how bloody awful these "tours" are. However, the break in them due to old 'rona, a couple years of BLM protests and examination of our past more closely than ever before juxtaposed against the images that came out of this tour was a massive ooft. The juxtaposition was SO stark all of a sudden that I think those of us SJWs who were uncomfortable before wanted to turn inside out from cringe. It was very bad. Very very bad. I don't think we'll have a publicly funded monarchy for much longer, I hope before I shuffle off this earth.
  • Me before this video: "Is the William & Kate debacle that bad?" Me as I'm watching this video: "Yikes!"
  • @brookejones4889
That story about your childhood friend Slabs nearly brought a tear to my eye, I hope it's doing well since that conversation.
  • @VolcyThoughts
Had no clue this was even a thing in the anglophone Caribbean. I knew y’all still had the queen as head of state but never knew there was a split in the generations about their views on her. Not surprised the UK refused to apologize or give reparations. France also refused to give Haitians our reparations.
  • @TominatorReal
I seriously love your content, I am a 14 year old in a very stuck up rich part of america and its suffocating how much ignorance is everywhere around me, and inside of me too. Your videos are very funny and bittersweet at the same time, I always love challenging my own biases and you help a lot. Just want to tell you that you are actively making change in the world.
  • @saeedrazavi4428
As other people have said, your inclusion of nonbinary folks means a lot to me and being not always listed last really does feel like we're not just an afterthought. Your videos are always like a warm hug just by the respect you show your audience 💛🤍💜🖤 Also, as always, awesome video. My fingers broke from how fast I clicked when I saw you uploaded
  • @AllTheArtsy
Not the point of the video but -- "Kids creative and cruel at the same time, you know?" IS THE TRUEST STATEMENT EVER. Parents out here trying to "protect the children" from "controversial" media, but they're some of the most deranged minds ever and you just gotta respect!
  • @TransSappho
Slabs’ story and your friendship with it honestly warmed my heart so much

So, I’m Brazilian and we also had to pay to Portugal (the country that colonized us) for our independence. Once, arguing with a few Portugueses on Twitter, a lot of them said that the Portuguese monarchy did nothing wrong on take our gold from our lands because we weren’t “using it”. Like… what?? What kind of logic is that?! (And I’m no even counting the terrible environmental impact and the way Brazilian’s indigenous population got slayed for it to happen) Later on, a Portuguese woman said that she used to think this way too because this is how they are taught to think. That their school system taught that colonialism wasn’t bad, that they brought good things to us and made us “evolve” or something. That even getting to know the facts about what it actually was to colonize another country is very hard from just reading Portuguese authors. And it’s crazy to think that common known facts for us, former-colonies, are stuff they never heard of (like how every history teacher I had said the common phrase that Brazilian’s gold is either on Portugal’s churches and palaces or gone to England because more than half of the gold they got from us went to pay the British). It gets me thinking what other things the world don’t know because we are not the “winners” in the history’s eyes.
  • It doesn't help that William and Kate have the Charisma of Wonder Bread. Btw Foreign, another great video.
