You made that so easy for this beginner. Thank you.
  • Does this work for large textbooks? I run ttrpg's and those books can get massive

love this, embarking on my first real wood working project and using your video as a guide! Two questions, did you add wood filler where the vertical face boards meet the shelf face boards (to give it a singular piece look) and when adding the bead of caulk, do you use any special type of caulk for wood? Thanks!!

Hi, so do the screws for extra support go through the shelves or are under them?
  • What's the difference between a miter saw and a table saw? Can't you do all the cuts on the table saw?

Another option is priming the project and filling the nail holes with spackle after. DryDex is what I normally use for projects I paint. Also, using glue when screwing the shelves to the back panel would give it much more strength. I'd also predrill the holes when attaching the shelves to the back panel with a countersink bit to avoid splitting and it also makes the back more flush. Good video though! Nice way for new people to get started!
