DIY plywood shelves using plywood. In this video tutorial, I will show you how to build simple plywood shelf using a kreg jig for pocket hole joinery. This is such a fast easy project for making your own shelves. The skill level required to make these shelves would be for a beginner. This is a great beginner woodworker project. I am using 3/4" sanded birch plywood to build these shelves. Using 3/4" plywood makes a strong shelf that will last a long time. Pocket hole joinery with the Kreg K5 makes a strong joint as well. Give this project a try and let me know what you think!

Tools and supplies used in this build:

Kreg K5 Pocket Hole Jig: amzn.to/2sv9VCr

Kreg Rip Cut: amzn.to/2VYbKW7

Kreg 1 1/4" screws: amzn.to/2VXohsU

Man, I enjoy watching all your vids, they’ve helped me in so many ways. I saw a pic of your Cross bench and plan on duplicating it to donate to the church that lost 5 children in that horrible accident here recently. That’s my hometown and our community is devastated by it. I plan on building 5, 1 for each child with their names on it to create a memorial for them.

I was going to go with some expensive display cases but after watching this I’ve changed my mind and will make my own,I’ve decided to be a maker instead of a taker and this design is what I’ve been looking for,I can also totally customize it to how I want it to look, thanks for the video.

  • I used the edge cutter yesterday. It is a great tool. Straight edge was accomplished.
  • Great video! I have been looking for a simple plywood shelve how to video for a while now, and all I find is videos for professional carpenters so FINALLY! Thank you so much, keep up the good work.
  • Looks good! Just an unsolicited tip, if you turn your nailer perpendicular to your material you will have even less blowouts. ☺️

I'm just starting out with pocket holes and a few new tools. Table saw, drill press, Kreg K3, etc. You have some great tips here which takes some of the mystery out. Thanks
  • I’ve been binge watching all your vids...itching to do some woodworking but prepping to move can’t wait to get into my she shed 🤗🤗🤗🤗

9:16 thanks for the tip on cutting down pocket hole plugs! Can't believe I've been wasting time sanding whole plugs.

Nice. I just purchased a K5 system and used it to build a vacuum cyclone dust collection cart for my shop-vac. I think I will use your shelf build as my next pocket hole project build to make a shelf unit for some of my power tools and chargeable batteries to sit on!

Great music! Really captures that "rip cut" aggression. Thanks for not using office waiting room music or, worse, Opie Taylor fishin' music.

Nice project. It would be nice to see one without a table saw. Thanks for sharing your work.
