They making gil sound smart as hell. The nba is not a finished product or you would start it in your prime. What was gainnis, jokic, embiid etc when they first got drafted. Not half the players they are now. Your prime comes a few years after being drafted that’s why they want them as young as possible

Forbes reported that Wemby added 500M to the franchise he will be drafted in. Just now, NBA posted the top-selling jerseys this season and Wemby is top 4 overall. He is top 2 in jersey sales in Europe. And the Spurs are even in the top 10 franchise’ merch sales this season. I’m guessing Caitlyn Clark will do the same if not better for her team, but there’s levels to this. It’s easier to make an impact in a small pond, compared to the ocean.
