8:16 - "Germany's representative could oversee climate change'. As von der Leyen is from Germany, she IS the representative from Germany and the rest of the member states will fill the other commissioner jobs.
-
A breakdown of who voted for her and who didn't would be interesting. Of course the vote was secret, but many leaders still said out loud what their groups were supposed to do (S&D, Meloni, etc)

We need to invest much more in the train sector. Cheap, fast and green transportation will naturally make us more competitive and connected.
-
Unexpected to see such a majority.

6:35 Hahaha the subtitles

Imo presidency should be changing more often so that each EU country has this right
-

-
Bad !Bad ! but not surprising.

Thank you for the video! I would also add "the lack of impartiality on the war in Gaza" under the ugly list.
-
"She adeptly managed the EU's response" now now let's not make any large claims here.
-
The political landscape has changed and it would have not been unreasonable to see a change in political leadership. But...
-
She was decisive in big moments (Covid, the Economy, Ukraine) and handled national leaders reasonably well, all things considered (many criticize her for her Orban approach, but she didn't have much choice about it). Unfortunately, as much as she tries to look empathic, she has a bit of a elitist attitude at politics. Also, in my opinion she was a tendency not to listen the EU parliament.

Great video, thanks again for the explanation
-
A really well-done and informative video! Thanks a lot and keep them coming!

You say it was a tight race, but when did you ever report on a contender? What alternative? If not von der Leyen, then who could have won?
