ABOUT WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson are total opposites with an unbreakable bond since meeting on the hit sitcom “Cheers.” But after that show wrapped, life took them in different directions, and they missed each other. This podcast is a chance to reconnect, both with each other and the amazing friends they’ve each met over the decades, like Will Arnett, Dax Shepard, Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen, José Andrés, Conan O'Brien, and more - that is, when Ted can get a hold of Woody! Join them as they dig beyond the career highlights and into the stuff of life that makes us who we are. Like the title says, this is a place to be known.

I can listen to Martin Short speak all day long. Whether he's being downright hilarious or simply telling a story, he has the charisma to captivate us and brighten our day. Not only a special talent but a wonderful human being as well.

This is the most serious I've ever heard Martin Short in an interview. Ted must do a good job making guests feel relaxed. It doesn't hurt that they're similar ages and experiences.

Ted Danson is a sweet, warm, and enthusiastic interviewer. It really shows he's enjoying this opportunity and the interviews are coming out great.
  • This podcast is basically a bunch of very lovable people having a great conversation, immediately one of my favorite pods

So much to say for this episode. First, Ted may be one of the best interviewers to come around in a long time. His questions, probing and overall style brings out the best in his guest. Martin Short. A unique person. He has created some of the greatest characters and bits of all time. He also has a personality that makes me wish I knew him as a friend. From his growing up creating characters to seeing him with Steve I think he’s just genuinely great.

I’m genuinely delighted to hear Martin Short mention Dave Foley! ❤ Martin & Dave’s work!
  • Love Martin Short. As a fellow Canadian, I love that no matter how long Martin Short has lived and worked in the States. He is still so proudly Canadian.
  • This was one of the most sincere, feel good podcast interviews I've watched. It was so refreshing to see this side of Martin Short, and Ted Danson was a perfect person to bring it out of him.

Martin Short is 74 years old!! Dude is sharper than ever!! Not a single step lost with his mind. Love knowing that this is possible. Although, I would still insist on driving.
  • @timnoel511
Yes! Martin Short! He's one of my favorite actors! Always has been. Both him and the late John Candy.

I had the pleasure of meeting/interviewing Marty Short years ago and he was everything you would expect/want him to be. Engaging, sharp as a tack, funny as hell and super smart. Even now, well into his 70s, he remains one of the best comic talents working. And that's no lie, eh?

Three Amigos is such an underrated classic. It came out before I was even born, but some of my favorite memories are sitting with friends in high school, having some drinks and just watching the movie and laughing our butts off. We all had loved it as children and it was just something we bonded over while also discussing the silly drama of high school, college and life and also all the real loss we had each felt from close family members at young ages which probably had initially brought us together. Three Amigos become a bedrock and we still bring it up every now and again.

Mr. Danson is an excellent interviewer. He’s able to bring out aspects of Martin Short that we haven’t seen before.

I am a simple man, I see Martin Short in the title - I click.
  • @MichaelLasotaTW
I'm not big in podcasts, but Ted and Martin's voices are soooo soothing.

I love both of these guys. They were staples of my formative years. This may be weird and parasocial, but they are unquestionably father figures to me in terms of my personality and sense of humor. Thank you Ted and Martin.
  • @Rachel-sv9pq
His memoir was a really great book. I got it just for a laugh but it ended up being very profound. 10/10 recommend.

Loveeee Martin Short! The first time I saw him was in "Father of the Bride" with Steve Martin and he's been one of my favorite actors to watch since then! Not to mention his genius creation of Jiminy Glick! I loved this interview and appreciated how much he discussed preparation and doing all that you can. God bless you Marty and wishing you every success always!
