Jordan Schlansky has a very specific favorite mastering of “Tom Sawyer” - the song that opens the show - so Conan surprises him with Geddy Lee, the lead singer of Rush, so he can ask some niche questions.

Imagine seeing someone you idolize and say, "oh yes"

I thought the Jordan Schlansky Golden Age was over with the ending of Conan’s show, but here I stand wrong in all this glory

Jordan is talking about Geddy in the third person with him virtually in the room.

Jordan has serious, SERIOUS riffing skills he can just go on and on - like a Norm Macdonald without any punchlines

I don't want to meet Jordan Schlansky, I simply want to experience his segments together with Conan in the best quality and dynamic range.
  • I absolutely love Jordan using his position to request things on behalf of the fans. Not demanding, but requesting. And those are definitely things that any fan would appreciate.

Conan: surprises his friend in a wholesome moment Jordan: oh yes
  • Amazed by how Conan manages to make Jordan's dream come true but in a way that he can't enjoy them
  • When Geddy said the band experimented with new technology, Jordan should’ve told him how he once experimented with oats & whey.
  • Poor Jordan. He really is a human robot in a way, but he's also a (snobby) man of culture and taste. He really does put up with a lot from Conan, all for Conan (and friends and fans) to have a laugh, at his expense. We should all take a moment to honor Jordan, obnoxious snot that he can be at times, for being such a good sport, and sticking with Conan all these years, through all the (good humored-ish) abuse.

“Music brings us all together” but also “You plebs pollute your ears listening to the wrong master”

Geddy casually calling Jordan "JASON" made me die laughing! The callback to Dan G was pure comedy gold and when he was asked if he could visit Toronto I knew Ged would say no effin way!!
  • Jordan's take on needing, or not needing, to actually meet his musical heroes is so f*cking on point.

"You know what might be interesting? To hear Geddy Lee talk about Rush"
  • @dmajumdar2059
Jordan is so eloquent that he is very at ease in any situation. He just knows how to react. Like how he handled it when Conan had Geddy Lee insult Jordan by saying that he wouldn't let him stay at his place. Love Jordan!

After hearing Jordan talk about the importance of dynamic range in recordings I’m making him the sole beneficiary of my will.
