  • Some of those boers where younger then me.. And I'm 16..
  • So my great great great great grandpa fought for the Confederates during the American civil war, lost his wife during a siege of Richmond. A few years after the civil war 1880 when the first Boer War started he volunteered with many Russians and and a few Scots, he helped the Boers defeat the British during the first war. When the first war ended he got married with a beautiful Afrikaans lady her name was Anneline. Before the second Boer War even started he was executed by a British soldier. Proud to be half American born in South Africa. It’s rare to have that here. 🇺🇸🇿🇦🤟🏻
  • Tinus, this is excellent, thank you! Glad you added in the farmhouses being blown up and the women and children being transported to the death camps. My good friend in the 70's was Marius le Roux. His Dad was curator of the Cape Town castle. Ek is 'n Scot and het baie jare op die Oos Transvaalse myne gewerk. Dankie!
  • That was almost haunting....excellent choice of music. Felt as though I have seen those faces befoee. You made that very real....you made them almost come alive. Well done. Jasper, Canada

Thanks, i am Dutch and was looking for this kind of footage. I miss this feeling of real man fighting for a goal, a better life.
  • Great men ! 🫡 Respect to Afrikaneer to an Amazigh ⵣ from Algeria 🇩🇿
  • No more brother wars. Never again. What astonished me is how they stood up to the greatest empire of the age and forced the Brits to bring in half a million men from all over the empire to defeat the boers, and also how the british were reduced to using terrorism against civilians. Sad indeed
  • @HoH
Fantastic images and colouring! Great work, thank you.
  • Hardy men women and children, their struggle shouldn’t be forgotten . Nice work again Tinus 👌🏻
  • Solid looking men made hard by life in this country of ours hope that spirit is still with us today we need it more than ever now maybe in a hundred yrs from now someone will look back on this time and say never again lets live in peace
  • All they wanted was to be left alone and yet every time the British came for their gold.
  • They may take our lives, but they will never take.... our sunday clothes!
