Things To Do in Arizona

Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. I used to be a courier, and I got paid $100 to take a package of prescription drugs up to a nursing home in Sedona every Saturday morning. I would stop by my friends house to pick him up and we would get up there when the sun was just coming up, stop on the side of the road next to Oak Creek, and catch our limit of rainbow trout before dropping the package off. Then we would go home and have a fish fry with the neighbors. Good memories.

We started watching your program while making the big decision whether to move from NYS to Arizona...we learned a lot about our new State from you. We've been here going on two years..we love Arizona..thank you

My dad took me to the Grand canyon in two thousand five. I'm happy for this. Now I have to see what I love on my phone.
  • My cousin lives in Oro Valley, Arizona and she sent me this link to watch. I enjoyed it very much. Now, I understand why she loves living in Arizona. She used to live in my town growing up in the North East. After about 5 years of teaching in a school in our town, she and her husband moved to Arizona. It seems there is so much to see and do.

I have stayed at the North rim 4 times. I live in phoenix, and you have to pass an area of Flagstaff before noon to miss the thunderstorms that flood and often close route 89. With pee, leg stretching stops I find getting to page, 130 miles away from the north rim, takes 8 to 9 hours. I usually stop overnight in Page, az, and drive to North Rim the next morning. Keep in mind that for much of the drive from page to the north rim Ranger shed is 130 miles of pitch dark, winding road with no cell coverage that floods when it rains. It is a beautiful drive. I bring oxygen and a satellite communicator. There are bison in some areas. Don't approach!
  • Great video. I enjoyed watching this video. I need to expand my horizons. Absolutely beautiful scenery.

Key highlights you missed in the towns you covered: - Sedona: Mesa Grill at the Airport - Bisbee: Stock Exchange Saloon & Grill (original massive stock market chalkboard on wall) - Jerome: Haunted Hamburger (great food and view) - Cottonwood: Merkin Vineyards (way up on hill with beautiful view) - Prescott: Whiskey Row Courthouse square - Verde Valley: Train ride, many vineyards in the area, as well as the popular Sedona Adventures "Water to Wine" Vineyards and Kayak ride

Be sure to mention the Biosphere II and Kitt Peak when highlighting Tucson attractions. I should have posted this on your "Things to do in Tucson". BTW...you do an excellent job overall! Thank You!

Out of Africa in Camp Verde is a fun day trip. Zip lining over the animals, feeding tigers and following the feed trucks to the enclosures is an amazing experience.
  • Home Sweet ❤ Arizona! What an amazing place to live. So many options for year round fun and tourism. Greer was the last name of the guy who did my LDS baptism in Qatar!
  • Grateful to have experienced most of these places! Awesome places to visit
