I wish I could tell you what happened.

This was very much the most eventful and awful trip of my career. But, for many reasons, I can't...and shouldn't...tell you exactly what happened. Maybe down the road when there has been some distance from what happened.

The medical emergency really affected you. You’re a wonderful soul to truly care about your fellow human in a time of emergency and need. You are cared about more than you know.
  • I want to share that as a Registered Nurse who has flown a lot that I remain amazed at the level of medical training Flight Attendants undergo and how well they are educated and trained to recognize medical events with passengers. The Flight Attendants coordinate and facilitate the care of passengers experiencing the emergencies and the medical professionals are always there to assist. It reminds me how much the human race cares for others in a time of crisis. I am glad to hear of the aftercare that your airline provided to you following the medical event. It truly shows the commitment to excellence in your company. If only corporate America could learn from this model of follow up caring for employees.
  • Having worked jobs that were very stressful, the employer/supervisor/union being supportive and hearing/knowing what you're going through really is worth it's weight in gold. Not having that in place makes things straight up miserable! Glad you have had the support you have needed. Take it easy...hug Buddie and Eleanor as much as they will let you!!

Steven, if what happened on the flight causes you distress, reach out to your employee health coordinator. Most companies provide some initial mental health assistance. It’s normal. You’re having a normal reaction to a traumatic event. You’re doing the right things for yourself. Self-care is vital. Do what helps you. I’m glad your company is supporting you. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help.

I saw the meme about no doctors on Spirit flights and admit I did smile when seeing it. Sounds like a bad outcome with the medical emergency and I fly a lot having just returned last night from the Cape where you didn't get to go and really love the vibe there. I've always wondered why these medical emergencies don't happen more often and think only once was I on a flight with one. So sorry for all involved.

It’s obvious whatever happened on that flight was very traumatic for you. I’m sorry you are going through that. So glad you were able to go to a meeting in your old neighborhood and see some old friends there. I’m sure your airline has an EAP line. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them if you need some help.

Im so sorry for whatever happened on that flight. It was traumatic for everyone involved, and im glad your union is supportive. I hope the airline is as well. Very glad that you sought out meetings and they helped. Ive been watching your videos for awhile now, and you always bring sunshine to my day, but this one broke my heart...for you, your co-workers, the medical personel onboard that day, and the family of the person who experienced this emergency. Stay strong. Hoping you find comfort and closure.
  • I’m so sorry to hear you and the crew had to experience a traumatic event. I had just been thinking about how it doesn’t seem right what you all have to go through what you do for food. But unexpected medical events…you are all hero’s. Glad friends of Bill W are nearby and you are prioritizing self care. Happy you were lifted. ❤
  • The fact that you had to continue your trip is beyond me. As a flight attendant I understand everything you said (and didn’t say). You should not have had to work after that. I’m so sorry.
  • Just want to say is my thoughts are with their family and friends. Glad they had such wonderful medical professionals were there to assist. My thoughts and prayers are with your friend Marcus. I lost a wonderful neighbor and friend about 8 months ago. A wonderful woman. What a lovely park that you visited! Boston is a beautiful city.

Steven I am so sorry that you experienced what you did on your trip. You are such a wonderful man with such a big heart. That's one of the reasons I love watching your videos. Isn't it wonderful that no matter where we go we can always find a meeting. I am sober now for over 20 years. Meetings always helped me. I'm glad your company is supporting you through this . I'll keep you in my thoughts.❤❤
  • Enjoy those days off and thank you so much. Whatever it is you get out of your AA meetings to refocus yourself, and I can't speak for others, but in a way you and your vlogs are my refocus medicine. So thankful for that. Thank you.
  • @andywillett5809
Take comfort in knowing you and your crew members did all possible to assist the passenger.
  • @vabearcub
I'm so sorry to hear you had a difficult flight with the medical. I'm glad you had a nice time in Boston to help take your mind off of the situation. Take the time you need to process what happened and make sure to take care of yourself. From one FA to another, big bear hug!
  • STEVEN!!!😂 I am at home crying with laughter as you’re describing the couple in the airport (I can’t stand people that eat with their mouths open..especially when it makes a noise…adds to my irritation , so gross!!, but you made it seem sooooo funny.😂😂😂 I am a turn queen (for a year now), and even I had went through the delay of an AUA turn recently in which 6 hours later turned into a canceled flight., It was not fun. By you saying that you cried in the hotel.. I hope that all is well with the passenger and I’m glad that you were contacted by people within the company and that you got out and went to your meeting, (thanks for taking us along for your walk), I am hoping that you’re continuing to be well also for the other FAs mental health. ❤🙏🏾

Steven, as a retired emergency services officer who was med8cally discharged with PTSD, please promise me that you will seek help after such incidents. They come back to haunt you and derail you. (Even years later) I know that you have sought help but continue to do so. Xx (Said with love ) Thank you for showing us around Boston, we thoroughly enjoyed it! Just like a virtual holiday x
  • @Wildmansmom
I hope you have a wonderful and restful few hrs of sleep sounds like!
  • @Wendy-Texas
Please get rest and enjoy your days off with your beautiful kitties ❤
  • God bless. Fly and stay safe. Have an amazing day. Take care. Take a deep breath! Ciao.

Steven, I'm sorry that you and your crew had to experience that medical event on the flight from Sacramento. I am glad that you found an AA meeting in Boston to help you with your mental distress. On a much lighter note, thank you for showing us a beautiful walk through Boston. Best wishes for a therapeutic rest when you get home.
