Welcome to our first-time reaction to Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) movie. The sequel to The Terminator (1984) was such an awesome experience! James Cameron is great at giving us the perfect amount of action with the perfect amount of storytelling. JJJreact

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as the iconic T-800 but this time he gets to play the good guy. Robert Patrick and performance as the T-1000 was chilling! The not blinking thing really got to us!

It was great to catch up with Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor. We see just how much of a fighter she's become and it's great! She is fantastic in this film.

We hope you enjoy our reactions and commentary as we discuss how this film impacted the sci-fi genre forever, how it became a staple of sci-fi action thriller, and how James Cameron continued to push the boundaries of what technology could do,

Sit back, relax and join us as we experience this phenomenal sequel.

“If a terminator can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too” is one of the best ending lines in a movie. Sadly, I do not think we are there yet.

One of my favourite facts about this movie is that Robert Patrick (T1000) trained himself not to flinch or blink while firing his gun. You see it best when the terminators first face off in mall hallway, I’m so glad u guys noticed it lol not many do

As a small bit of trivia, Jenette Goldstein (the actress who plays John's foster mother) is the same actress who played Vasquez (the tough female Space Marine) in Aliens. She also played the Irish Mother in Titanic. A great actress who can morph into any character.

I love the detail that max was barking, because the t-1000 was there. It was established in the first movie that dogs bark in the presence of terminators
  • It's amazing how well the CGI holds up for something that was made in 1991

People often comment about Robert Patrick (T1000) training himself to not blink while firing the gun - which IS tremendous because it really helps the scene. But, what i find even more astounding, is that in all the sprinting scenes - chasing the dirtbike, chasing the car - his mouth isn't open. He's only breathing through his nose while running that fast and far, which is very inhuman.

Only james cameron can make you shed tears for a dying robot

When Arnie says, "it's in your nature to destroy yourselves". That line cuts deep. I never expected the movie to say such profound things about humanity, and it's coming out of a cyborg. And that whole sequence about him being the best father figure John had ever had. Really powerful.
  • Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor in T2 was the epitome of the badass woman. She set the standard for a decade.
  • We gotta give Miles Tyson some serious credit. Dude probably worked his butt off on Snynet, but as soon as he hears what it does in the future, he quickly swallows his ego and agrees to destroy what was possibly his life's work. His death is just as sad as Arnie's.
  • Linda Hamilton and Robert Patrick in this film, I was paralyzed watching that spectacular performance, I also really like this young John Connor.

Dyson death is one of the best death performances I've seen, those gasps were SO well done, no unnecessary over the top acting, just a guy gasping his last breath

The nuke scene is considered one of the most accurate fictional portrays of a nuclear blast in film. The special effects still holds up 32 years later. It was an Oscar for best visual effects.

My dad who hates tv and movies when on a rainy day couldn’t work on the farm I managed to convince him to watch this movie I’ve never forgotten his reaction he just looked at me and said not bad not bad at all I know for most people it’s not much but from a truck driving farmer who despised the modern world that is praise beyond measure and now that he is gone this movie means so much more

I was a kid when I saw this. At my local grocery store, they had a police officer that would pop in every so often who looked eerily like the actor. First time I saw him, I had a Sarah Connor-level freak out. I screeched, “he’ll kill us all! He’s a Terminator.” My mom was so embarrassed and had to drag me out the store.

Robert Patrick played his role immaculately. He went through heavy gun training to train himself to not blink or flinch when shooting. Also, in his younger days, he was a track stat in college. They had to keep reshooting the dirt bike scene because he kept catching up to it.

Over 30 years ago and this movie still holds up today. One of the all-time greats.

Fun Fact: Linda Hamilton's twin sister played in this movie as well. She sadly passed away few years back.
