Alex,  When I was your age, I lived in my first apartment in Lansdowne, PA (very rural).  It was super cozy. My two best friends also lived in the complex; there were 9 units.  It was converted from an Inn built in the late 1800’s.  Right after a snowfall, we used to go out at night and walk around.  It was so quiet and peaceful.  My friends each smoked a cigar but I followed behind them.  It’s one of my happiest memories. I live in a row home now with my husband and I can honestly say that I still am homesick for my apartment.

Hey there, you can change your package to be delivered to a store that has amazon lockers like Whole Foods, cvs and more. I love the rain too!

Get a delivery box, like an Amazon locker??

Hi from Australia 🇦🇺.. i came to New York a couple of yrs ago for a holiday and loved it...massive difference from US to AU..

Of COURSE you've thought of this and I'm sure other people have said .... Amazon Package Lockers will be your friend for deliveries .... I don't live in an apartment, but "porch pirates" are a problem in Suburbia. Delivery options for other companies can be pretty dubious ... is there any way you can get a "mailbox" or post office box at a delivery hub like a "Mail Depot" store or somewhere ... that way your packages would be safe until you picked them up.

Alex, that delivery service fiasco is almost surreal. Going from an agent on the phone starting to address your question, then almost immediately to an automated customer service survey before he even answered your concern is scary. Great live snippet to include in this video. Bravo!

One solution is don’t buy online unless you check the company T&C and delivery. I bought a kettle from Amazon here in Australia and they left it at the front gate plus the plug was for British electric outlet so I placed a written complaint after following up with a complaint over the phone. I eventually got a refund got to keep the kettle too so I bought an international adapter and I’ve been using the kettle ever since. It does pay to complain otherwise they get away with it that makes the company more profitable for them and the customer out of pocket. I never leave feedback or reviews because it’s not my place to comment on the company’s staff and how they work or manage it that is up to the company to make sure they are checking their own staff the onus is not on the customer it’s on the company to take the time and check for themselves.

You need a bumberchute!! But, again i guess that would defeat the purpose of you enjoying the rain 🙂
