You're the first person I've ever seen tack BOTH ends of the zipper. I see so many people struggling to align the opened end when they sew that end seam. I usually sew a little scrap on the tails but your tack idea is much easier.

Great gifts for father's day, graduations, birthdays, etc. I love to watch your tutorials. They always make me smile and I like your style. You're not a perfectionist which makes it look so doable for us nonprofessionals at home. (Hope you know that is a compliment.) lol

I wanted to say thank you for a great step by step video. My daughters fiancé was looking for ideas for his wedding groomsmen. I made up dopp kits in vinyl and embroidered their initials.. Couldn't have done it without you!
  • Hi from Australia. Thankyou for such clear and concise visuals and voiceover. So good to have a fully lined, no raw seams, pouch.

Omg I have made so many box bags and couldn’t figure out how to get it to have no exposed seams! I am so glad you showed this video.

I was searching good directions for making a dopp kit and when I saw your name pop up in the results I knew I had to check it out. I follow you on TikTok and love your attitude and advocacy. These are great visual instructions and I can't wait to try them out!

Nice vinyl fabric, the tabs you added are convenient for hanging or attaching things. Saw you on FQS, you guys were so funny, loved seeing all your projects, videos to come.

Thanks for the tips and tricks. I have made a lot of zippered pouches. But, never made one without the exposed seams. I also have invisible zippers on a roll and just regular invisible zippers. I also have regular zippers on a roll. I have a lot of lacy zippers too. This is a project that I will be making. Thanks again. I am one that likes to do ladder stitch to close those holes.

Love this box pouch! Thank you for the PDF step by step tutorial!
  • @BeatlesFanSonia
I made one with the vinyl in the inside as the lining. It’s easier to clean. I look forward to your videos!

Mind blown! Idk why I never thought to use a zig zag stitch to go across the zipper! I’ve been using a straight stitch going back and forth struggling to hold it together. And I’ve installed many zippers LOL thank you for another great tutorial Matthew!!
