"Camaro fans may have noticed something missing from the lineup since the gen-6 launched last year. But most knew it was just a matter of time before a ZL1 would blast its way back onto the scene. And boy has it ever. Boasting performance that your mullet-rocking neighbor of 30-years ago would never have dreamed of. So, here’s to the bow tie faithful everywhere, the 2017 Camaro ZL1."

I love motorweek. It's the only car channel that hasn't changed since its early years.

I bought the ZL1 NEW in 2017 (employee discount) and sold it 1 year later. Didn't lose a cent. It's truly amazing, even better than this quick review. This is no longer "pony car" territory. It's true sports car, bordering on supercar performance. My only complaint was the bolstering of the Recaro seats was way too tight for my (um) frame. ;-)

Chevy hit it out the park with the 6th Gen Camaro.

At 3:31 you can see the PTM lock up the left front trying to keep the car going in it's intended direction.
  • Thanks for the clear drift angles going straight. I always say go left, go right, go racing! I am a follower since the very beginning of Motor Week!
  • I know the 10spd auto is amazing, but I'd still take the 6spd Manual

they actually got a respectable 1/4 out of this car. makes me want to go drive my zl1 like that.
  • Nice video - seems like you guys stepped up the video quality /production value big time. Nicely done...
  • This is a good example of what engineers can do when let go and do their best. I drive a 13 SS 1LE and that car is just beautiful to drive! The handling is great, grip is unbelieveable and while it is firm, the suspension doesn't beat you up while driving normally (on the road...). Being a 1LE, it is a manual and it actually shifts like a dream, clutch action is just slightly firmer than the one in my Civic and the shifter works better and is also more precise in the Camaro too, funny eh? I was skeptical at first and was delightfully surprised with my test drive. I can only imagine how these 6th gen cars drive! That being said, if you're looking for a manual car, go for it, it's great fun! I have yet to drive one of these 10 speed cars with the paddle shifters, they also look like fun. You guys drive your Camaros until the wheels falll off, when they do, just bolt them back on and drive some more!

@3:45 you can see the stability control lock up the front wheel to save the skid.
  • The best review of the Campari I have ever heard or watched. I am not a fan of the corvette but this review has sold me.
