So many Christians who believe we are missing something, that Christ has some big surprise or gift waiting. When all along the gift is right before us.
  • Gloria in Excelsis Deo! One is the core of our faith both from the Jewish tradition that states that God is One and through Our Lord Jesus Christ that taught us communion, in essence, we are One in Him as He is One with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

This was an eye and heart opener for me. It makes me aware that God has been preparing me for this after decades of falling. What wonderful teaching of non duality which now I can begin to practice and be open to the Father as an pty container ready to be moved by his will Thank you Fr Keating!
  • I am so Glad that the Advaita Vedantic thought is finding expression in new places ... we are all just one Quantum field
  • You beautiful man didn't expect too many Christians to hit on it so accurately, his love and the trinity expressed correctly is truth I wish the faith wasn't so corruptible

God said to Jeremiah the prophet in the first chapter of the book of Jeremiah that he knew Jeremiah (consciousness) before he was in his mother's belly (body). God said to Jeremiah (consciousness) "Before I formed you in the womb I set you apart." (set him apart from the one, from the whole) and God said, "You must go to everyone I send you to, and you will speak whatever I command you." God is telling Jeremiah that Jeremiah (consciousness) will go to "whom he is sent (body) and he will speak the words God commands him to (shared consciousness). God told Jeremiah that the words that come from Jeremiah's mouth belong to God (shared consciousness), Jeremiah said. "And the LORD said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth." and the Lord then said, "Do not be afraid of the looks on their faces for I am with you beside you."

For me, the phrase "Oneness dwelling within us" unintentionally denotes duality. For example: Oneness being one entity and us the other entity, one dwelling inside the other sounds like two. I know that phrase does not mean to imply duality.
  • Am I right to understand , from what was said here, that the Christian mystic conceives that God is ‘oneness’ which infuses all creation, including humans. But, unlike orthodox non dual ‘suggestions’ there is still a duality in that we are still separate persons outside the Trinity? This Christian view does not seem to regard creation as a dream-like state where men and ‘egos’ are unreal fictions . Also, how does man as ‘sinner in need of salvation’ fit with the idea that our true nature is infinite perfection already?

Ciencie IS demostraiting this reality , of non duality -unity, your are talking ;)
  • Was reading about when Yahweh became God and Judaism evolved from being a tribal deity to being the divine -- all powerful creator of everything. The Hindus and what Christians call the pagans revere gods who are not the creator god. The original source of Shiva, Vishnu and the Olympian gods lies in the background somewhere. It was the jews who first started worshipping a creator, apparently.
