Jesus taught the way of love , the bible has many levels of understanding and we will receive the level we are ready for. Some teachers of christianity still have much learning to do.

Fr. Rohr. He's simply a good man. I really like how his pragmatic, compassionate, german logic comes through.

Please note that Advaita has hundreds of sub-schools (you can spend your whole life-time reading up on it and still not 'know' it all). As a baptized RC, I am naturally a big fan of Saint Francis and Thomas Merton (yes, it is perfectly fine to enjoy a good Trappist). I do however also love Sufism, Kabbalah, Upanishads, Krsna in particular, the Vedas, et all. All of these including true Christianity deliver the same message of all-inclusive Love. Love is all that matters and perhaps it should be taken quite literally so for I believe we truly are the manifestation of Love (1 Corinthians 13:13); Love in the Flesh. That being said, I believe the error is seeing duality as something negative while it is actually positive. Why? Duality simply means the unity of two (duo) complementing lovers (man and woman for example) existing as One and that is Godly perfection right there. It requires no further questioning. After all, is there not night and day, is there not ebb and flow, are there not the seasons? There is nothing wrong to embrace our God-given individuality as long as we see God in all for All is G-d in reality. In other words: I would be very careful in surrendering to extreme forms non-duality for it is not the purpose (in our physical manifestation).

Non Duality(Advaita) is the concept of Hinduism and Adi Shankaracharya is the founder

The problem with this, and the difference between non duality and Christianity, is that the former doesn't include the essentials of Christianity, of course. A lot of systems in the world apparently partner up with Christianity to say they're the same... but the problem is that they leave behind or completely omit the main thing here: What was the reason for Jesus to come here as that full human - full divine: which is to basically rescue us from the condition we got into when the fall happened, with partly was to have a difference between good and evil. Partly, from the non dual perspective, this would be another similarity between the two. But the problem here could be that evil or the negative part of how we are and what we've done (and its consequences) can be not recognised as such, as negative nor having bad consequences as such. And if this isn't recognised and accepted, you can't repent about them and relinquish them AND the effects it has... continue operating. In a Christian perspective we HAVE to be able to recognise our mistakes and even reject them with a passion in order to die to all of them and be reborn as a new man. With his death, Jesus/God payed for all those debts we amassed and that we needed to pay, and so he liberated us from it, that's why it's willingly chosen to die symbolically as he did in order to pay what we needed to pay and from that moment forward, start being a new creature, born again in spirit. But yeah, through this and through the spiritual growth process that follows, you HAVE to be able to discern between good and evil in order to stop creating more "karma" and remaining in grace. Although this time you have the Holy Spirit to be your guide about it, same as your sword and power to defeat everything that has been having control over your life through the unawareness of what evil causes in your life. So yeah, even if non-duality in general sounds good... it doesn't say about the possibility we have of reestablishing such a direct relationship with God, and to have a new life and an eternal one.

If you want to understand Nonduality . try studying the Mobius Strip ... Worked for me.

At 0:56 he says Jesus is a highly evolved being. This is contrary to the christian teaching that I have learned where Christ is forever the same. This sounds more like hinduism. Anyone want to enlighten me?
  • @seablade007
Plato already used a word for it. "Henosis" or "unity" in the platonic and neoplatonic school of thought is part of what paved the way for monotheism in the west.

It is very clear to me that he is exactly right in what he is saying. Jesus very obviously had a non dual message that was completely lost for centuries. What else could he have meant when he talks about being the father and the son or becoming eternal? Another thing is the gospel of thomas, the ideas in that gospel supposedly from Jesus are without doubt nondual. He is also correct to suggest that the Christian mystics understood this all along. The same can be said to some degree with Islam because sufi philosophy is nondual also. The way i see it is there is only one truth, and that truth can be found if you look deeply enough in all of the main religions of this world.

Aquinas made the last bold attempt to reconcile non-duality and the teachings of Christianity. Apart from a few unique cases in which highly advanced Saints (such as St. John of the Cross), succeeded in uniting Christian faith with actual nondual Realization, Christianity as a whole is based on the single doctrine of Salvation by Grace through faith, (Galations, and that faith is a body of beliefs). The approach in nonduality is to transcend particular beliefs, and that's why it's accessible to anybody irrespective of beliefs. Fundamentalist Christians would definitely disagree with that.
  • @ubercoolvideos
It wasn't clearly seen for 2000 years. After going through Hinduism and Buddhism you can find non duality even in a comic book. Christianity has nothing whatsoever to do with non duality.
  • Everyone is talking about “non-duality” but the Christian revelation comes from far above the “non-dual” or unitive energy experience which is the aim of all the natural religions teachings. The Orthodox talk of this unitive state as the uncreated energies of God. Other teachings have different names for the state of consciousness. But it seems to have been forgotten that the revelation offered by Christ is on a much higher level. This fact seems almost forgotten. It is the experience of the Logos/Christ the Word decent into the human heart and lifting one up to and before the Father of Lights. This experience is most clearly theistic and clearly Christian. Other faiths do not speak of this state bc only through Christ can one come to the Father. If you just stop with the “Oneness” experience then one hasn’t seen ultimate Reality.
  • @tarmbruster1
Non-dualistic thinking can also be clearly seen in St. Paul.

    Thanks love your explaination❤️🙏🏼✨

Beautiful speaker. Thanks for sharing this video. Its EXACTLY what I set out to find today! Jesus lives, through the me that is imaginary, to recognise the non dual nature of myself. I am one.
  • The real power and beauty of non-dualism is that, in a world of nearly 8 billion views and beliefs, all are equally correct!

The Holy Bridge: Acquaintance with Jesus is consolidated. The Bridge between Advaita(Non-Duality) and Christ Consciousness is inaugurated. Unconditional love is the 'Labour' from Grace to be appointed.  The price of the Bridge needs to be 'Silently' sorted. The final price of the Bridge is quoted by 'I am'. Bible Quote:"Before Abrahim was,'I am'." Advaita Quote:" 'I am' beyond Brahma". 'No Mind' is finalised to be the material of construction. Advaita:I am' is beyond Mind. Jesus:"Walk by faith, not by sight". 'The Bridge' is designed to be 'Invisible' for 'Invincible' to arrive. Assignment of the Bridge took, appropriately, 'Three days' to complete . According to Advaita: 'I am' is  beyond 'The Three':Brahma,Vishnu and Shiva. According to Bible:The Holy Spirit (I Am) Resurrected 'Three days'(Wholeness, love and perfection) after Crucification. 'The Bridge' is a connection of 'Two same Ends'. A union of Truth(Christ) and True Self (Advaita). Two Different Names with thousands of years apart. The 'Emptiness' remaining 'Still'(Jesus:Be 'Still' and 'Know' you are God) with no holds barred. HARI OM TAT SATYA ('The Bridge' is instantly available) Vikram Attri
