  • I really like this video because it makes juilliard a lot less scary. I'm training to audition for both juilliard and berklee and even though berklee is my first choice, I always fantasize being accepted to juilliard.

The part about the elevators is too true hahahah 😂😂😂

For several years I took classes in the Juilliard Evening Division. I would often wander around the practice room halls just to listen to what the students were playing, and how well they were playing it. It was awesome to be surrounded by such music, and such talented kids. But this video shows us the human side of what you all go through - or went through. I really enjoyed hearing all the different perspectives and seeing how you all manage to keep a good sense of humor. Thanks for posting this.

  • @bronxkies
This is hilarious. Especially the part with the stairs that are supposed to be scale lol.
  • @ThatViolaKid
Do Juilliard students act differently than you expected??? :)
  • @Yumeowe
I'm actually going to go to Julliard for college.
  • @TeraCMusic
The good old practice room struggle hahaha. I'm at Nazareth College and whenever I find a practice room that's available it's like winning the lottery xD

I didn't know what to expect but I thought it would be more competitive and watching more things on Juilliard and reading things just confirm I want to audition for the drama department. I'm so excited. And these are the type of people I love so I would so fit in 😆

God I’m so happy you’re breaking the stigma of “oh ho ho I’m in an Ivy League school oui oui im better than you” type of attitude people tend to expect from kids in colleges like Juilliard and Harvard etc.. you seem like a super fun person, I’d totally hang out with you if were in Juilliard.
  • "They're supposed to play a scale but I don't know what scale that is." Me, every time I try to practice oral recognition.
  • I love this mainly because it made me more calm about my application. I haven’t heard back as of now, but I know now that if I do get an audition and get accepted that the community is so lively within the students and you can grow many friendships and you can be yourself!
  • @baileyjames2380
This has been such a dream school I’ve had to force myself to dismissed it to look at others because I love it just that much like wow

I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! I grew up as a musician and went, surprisingly, into DANCE! Long story. Anyway, I have the good fortune to have friends who have gone to Julliard and colleagues too. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!
