15:44 live footage of Tommy realizing his fans put more thought into the dream smp lore than he probably did in the moment 😭

9:12 Technoblade saying "good things don't happen to heroes" is crazy Technoblade never dies❤

It’s so weird to no longer be a kid watching another kid play a video game. But an adult watching another adult reminisce about a time playing video games that meant different things to both people but was a huge part of both lives. Crazy.

definition of "you just had to be there", in the middle of covid when there was barely anything to do except watch our screens for an entire year. dsmp made it more bearable; it was something fun and light-hearted to enjoy but then it also had lore and factions and "sides" for us to sink our teeth into.

Regardless of how cringey it may or may not be to somebody, I will forever be grateful to the Dream SMP for giving me excellent storylines to write my songs about.

The Dream SMP was one of those things that you had to be there for. Looking back on it makes it seem much less interesting, but being there in those streams were some of the best moments of YouTube
  • The funniest thing about the dream smp is how there would a lot of people with real skills picking apart every detail, trying to predict what was gonna happen next. it's like "random was possessed by dream this whole time because he didn't look at anyone," but all the details were just accidents and improv😭😭it was never that deep
  • cringey time in my life? yes. did many members turn out to be bad? yes. but it was the thing that genuinely made me so happy in a time of my life that was so bad.
  • The thing was, we saw these ACTUAL PEOPLE as characters in a show. But the moment techno died, they started feeling like real people. So it didn’t feel like a show anymore, and it slowly died out, that’s why people are revisiting it, to feel almost what of nostalgia, and feel that same feeling they did a few years ago.

the genuine nostalgia from this episode is crazy. the dream smp was crazy to experience and it feels so surreal to go through again once youre older.
  • present tommyinnit reacting to past tommyinnit was exactly what I needed today

I think it was definitely cringey, but who cares? It was one of those rare moments where we put aside our cool kid act, and played make-believe again. We were spy’s, warriors, and even playing house. How many times do we get to do that now we’re older?
  • @hqNoor
it’s so weird calling dsmp nostalgic now when it was just four years ago…
  • 7:00 can we just appreciate that he had the EXACT SAME REACTION has 16 year old him did? it’s so funny i love this guy sm
  • I was 16 during Covid, which was when the DSMP first became a fixation of mine. Now, I’m 21. I have taken down everything I’ve owned from this time, I have grown up to find new passions, half the people i looked up to have been called out as horrible individuals. I thought the emotional attachment i had with the DSMP was gone. But this? This HEALED that part of me. Some part that was completely messed up from that time was healed because of this video. So happy to still be a Tommy Stan. So happy to have a part of me, that I never knew needed healing, healed

I think the thing that made the DSMP shine was the uniqueness of it. It felt like an entirely new form of content within itself. You combined two entertaining things, a bunch of friends mucking around and having fun together, and stories. So it doesn't really matter if it was "good" or "bad". It was special And that's all that it needed to be...

20:12 is the realest shit ever. lately, I've been watching more MCYT videos, specifically from people who participated in the DSMP. like, Tommy, Jack, skeppy, bbh, and even technos old videos. I feel EXACTLY the same as Tommy explained at the timestamp because Tommy was like 15-16 right, I was like 10-11 in 2020. I'm 14 now, turning 15 soon so it's safe to say that the DSMP was a huge part of my childhood and will definitely be something I'll remember on and like tell my grandchildren about as if it were an actual story that I used to read a lot. this video just FED into the nostalgic feeling I've been getting lately and watching this especially made me genuinely so emotional. it's really hard to explain but I'm so glad that Tommy at least spoke about it again, it's like closure for the kid in me. the DSMP formed a part of me today and until before mentioned YouTubers stop making videos, I will continue watching them until my own death, INCLUDING technos videos. It's really hard for me to watch him knowing he's gone but he was and still is my favorite and so very dear to me, his videos saved me in moments I didn't think I was able to be saved. R.I.P Technoblade. he will live on in my memories. the DSMP might be something embarrassing to tell my friends about but I know I'll never be embarrassed to know I was a part of something so special. its end killed me a little but I'm glad the DSMP members are able to move on and go their own path now. thank you for every memory, good moments, and even moments where I got CHILLS literal chills.. its the end of an era for sure but it'll forever be remembered. this shit would look AMAZING in history books
