Classic British Rail - Reading on the 1st March 1991

A few hours spent at Reading station on the 1st March 1991 where we see plenty of trains with 33's , 37's , 47's , 56's , 60's , 73's and HST's being seen.

  • Lovely vid. This was a favourite haunt of mine back in the 70's. Then the main traction were westerns and 47's. Very occasionally a peak would turn up on the York Poole working. Latterly a pair of 20's were rostered on a working to Early power station. Never saw a 37.
  • Great video thanks, brings back good memories. Travelled Down to Reading regularly from Nottingham. Train spotting at its best. All you would see today is units after units. 👍
  • pity reading station is not like this now. i did loco spotting in 1966 and saw a blue pullman

  • I wonder if anyone in 1991 would have thought that 5 yeoman sheds and 4 more on the way would suddenly lead to hundreds of there descendants arriving from just 7 years later.....
