Longest intro ever 😂 for a minute of darkness

even salt water damaged that vehicle is better than ANY of the New garbage sold today

I wouldn't have guessed the repairs would be this easy. Kudos to Ivan.

Umm, that was an unusually long lead into the intro. Where it could be possible for a PCM to take damage from a short, I wasn't convinced of that just yet. I can only assume that Ivan made a few more off camera checks before he made this call. But the results speak for themself. Awesome work as usual Ivan!

Salt water intrusion before the intro.
  • That's a fantastic remote start. One of the best, most reliable ever made. Most people drive their cars every day, so the convenience of having it outweighs not letting the car sit for 3 weeks at a time. Judging by the age of the remote, it's been in the car working great for 10+ years and now it's an issue? Doesn't make any sense.

There are vid3os of this car turning past 400k miles and it still looks in great shape and everything works. I really like these things. lol.. I got mine in 2019 for only $1700.. and it had nearly brand new tires on it. I was shocked I got them down so low. They had it marked for 4500.. but I kept checking in every few days and was comically offering them $1500, because they said no one has looked at it. And after about 2 weeks, the kid called me and said come get it: no lower than $1700. lol. Still drives great today. It's such a cool car for that price. heated seats.. 3 rows of leather seats that fold down flat.. Super cold AC, It's AWD.. and has a legendary 3.5L Honda engine. It's such a gem. lol
  • Great ending, Ivan! Another pleased customer :-) I was expecting the setup of the replacement ECM to be much more demanding :-)
  • 👋 Ivan and everyone else 👍 SHREWD,Ivan ,Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics Part 1,2,3 outstanding tutorial loved it From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧 ⏰️ 21:29PM Good Eve
  • I had that vipet anti theft device on my 95 Ford Taurus no issues except if you opened the unlocked door ( it was always parked in our garage while unlocked) the alarm would go off .it would also go off during a severe thunder storm
  • Worked on and older crown vic. Unplugged the aftermarket controller & brain eliminated that problem. Great series Ivan!!
  • Hopefully the owner wont be chasing electric gremlins for the rest of the cars life.

These were the best Acura MDX's ... Well built, lasted a long time with minimal maintenance. A friend of mine had one until 500,000 when the transmission bearing went internally.

Another great save, Ivan! I'm sure that thousands of vehicles like this one have been destroyed because the owners and mechanics gave up on them because they lacked your diagnostic abilities and persistence.
  • Another car saved from the crusher and a customer is happy getting his car back. There still may be issues that pop-up in the future i would think. Not your fault if they do.The salt got into a lot of places you CAN'T EVEN SEE.I recommend the owner does what i do with all my FISHING equipment when i come home from fishing in the OCEAN>>>i take my GARDEN hose and wash down EVERYTHING with FRESH-WATER then spray it with WD.hahah SEE if he would have done that last year ,MAYBE just maybe he would NOT have had this ISSUE? great video IVAN.

Salt water swimmers are the worst! Water infiltration of any sort can be problematic. I just fixed a Honda CRV where the sunroof was left open in a rain storm. Water found its way under the dash.
