That red light means stage 1 LVC, so it was a voltage cutoff. Idk what the cutoff value on that ESC is, but the batteries must have sagged below it. Maybe try again with different batteries?

10:12 "Ow! You never wanna do that. Ever!" Does it a few more times. 🤣
-
I'm running mine on a max6 with speed gearing. The whole system actually runs cooler now. I was hitting 170 to 180 degrees on the motor with speed gearing and stock esc. Now it's down to 150ish with the max6. This is after a full pack run and driving the crap out of it. I will note that it's much colder here in Indiana than Florida. So take this with a grain of salt.

The stock ESC just can't take the speed gearing. 20/50 is already pushing the stock ESC to its maximum limit. You would probably need a Max 6 or MMX8S for the speed gearing. The stock motor would probably need much better fans too. I'm going to stick to stock gearing, MMX8S, bigger tires and stock motor. I don't want to go crazy with upgrades on my XRT. For me personally, 47mph is enough for bashing, backflips and running around. Once I start going 50+ MPH, my batteries, and motor start getting way too hot. At least for me. Long time term success is my goal. Thanks for the video 👍👍👍

Haha love the earthquake. Sam looks like a cool cat
-
Gonna head and swap the ESC to a Max 6 brother. That's what your supposed to use lol. Get rid of it and enjoy the true power of the XRT 🤟
-
Thanks that was very nice testing of a different gear options and I'm quite sure it's going to help a lot with RC drivers
-
Try changing the ESC, Joe. I think your esc might be faulty. Try replacing the esc THEN gear down. She might be a different animal with a different esc. Thunder RC changed out the crappy traxxas Esc for a Max and his XRT is an outrageous machine. Bash On, Brother!👍👍 Thanks for the testing of the gears. Sorry that the soccer-moms and dads don't clean up after their snot-gobblers. What a show of no respect. And they are the same people that complain about "others" "trashing" the environment and people like us(rc users) putting "Ruts" in "their" fields. lol🤪💯💥❤ Such a fluffy, cool earthquake. Sam seems so chill. He just looks at the camera like: "what's up, guys?"👍👍😻:chillwcat:

Wow Sam is beautiful.... Yes really enjoyed the run on this vid a few heavy hits as well. But she held up. And yeah I like my rc's just a little faster..... 55 / 58 ish tends to be nice, but then I'm thinking the XRT is a big RC. So in and around 50 mph is probably fast enough and you looked like you'd great fun just in that clay dirt stuff which is plenty. Great vid bro and big Sam was a bonus. ... Cool 🐱

Cool video. That truck is a beast. Earthquake would be a cool name for your cat. He's a biggin.
-
Awesome video, thanks. HI SAM!😺
-
Traxxas electronics are kinda unreliable at times but I still luv’um!
-
20/46 sounds good. say what battiers are those, my Lectron Pro 7600 4s hard case packs are to big. Thanks for the Entertainment and happy Holidays!
-
Extra thumbs up for Sam.
-
My outcast 4s v2 did a cut like that when I geared up 2t on the pinion .
-
Surprised you didn't break your steering bellcrank with a few of those bad landings. RichDuperbash seems to break that a lot on his... then again, the air he gets with his is pretty insane.
-
Yea man. Always enjoy waking up to your videos. That was wierd how it was cutting out though. Probably the esc traxxas is saftey 1st lol maybe to good of packs too many amps idk. Or they sagged too low Just a guess. Thanks again. Joe!
-
MOAR of Sam please :)
-
Interesting you say that the xmaxx stock gearing gets 30 something miles I’ve seen 42-45 varying.
