Even though this Arkansas old man had a little trouble following some of the dialogue here & there, I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful movie.
  • Fun movie. Quirky, eccentric yard inspector that the Brits do so well.
  • Can't watch this without thinking of Harry Enfields brilliant 'Arsenal vs Liverpool' sketch

I guess moviegoers of the the 1930s were, compared to me, supermen and -women. I sure as hell am lost when in the very first reel the movie carefully introduces some 20 different characters. Maybe it was more than that. Anyway, I'm completely at sea, with all those characters, and haven't the faintest idea who is who. I stopped watching at 5 minutes in.

Being this serious about a children's game. They wouldn't last two minutes playing real football.
