not gonna lie i teared up, meleys surely knew that was a suicide mission. and she went all out for her rider. Rhaenys died fighting for what she believed, for Rhaenyra, for her young self.

In the books, Aegon and Sunfyre have the strongest bond, so it is really cool to see how happy Sunfyre looks when meeting Aegon and how genuine Aegon is smiling.

Targaryens are absolutely not fireproof. The Tragedy at summerhall proves this,

The scene where the entire battlefield just stopped fighting and stared in awe when Vhagar appeared was super awesome

Targaryens are not fireproof btw!! Dany only had that ability because of blood magic. But that was only in the show. In the books Dany is not fireproof at all, it was a one time thing

Fun fact: FYI, Ser Willem Blackwood who Daemon met with, is the same teenager who killed that Bracken knight when Rhaenyra was on her prospective marriage tour before she was forced to marry Laenor. He was aged up because there are about twenty years between that part of season 1 and now.

Daemon has been right in each advice he gave since this war begun. He wanted to double team Vhagar. No wonder he's mad, his family keeps dying after ignoring what he says.

You guys seem to be forgetting that Aegon did NOT want to have the throne, he was put there against his will.

I do appreciate how Criston Cole seemed to be the only one concerned about the welfare of his King. Everyone else mostly just ignored him.

I kinda see what Rhaenys may have been trying to do. She just took out Aegon, so all they have left is Aemond. Take out Aemond and that stops the greens in their tracks. All they would have is Halaena and her daughter but they couldn't go up against the Blacks with just Dreamfyre. So Rhaenys took the slim chance to take out or injure Vhagar, possibly reminded how she didn't do it at the dragon pit before. What makesnit sadder is that both dragons were ridden by her relatives. Vhagar was ridden by her daughter and Daemon/Viserys's father, while Meleys was ridden by their mother before Rhaenys. Should have gone with Daemon's plan of 2 against 1.

Aegon's a douchebag but you gotta remember he didn't want to be King and sees he is now a puppet. He told Aemond he would make a bad king and to let him run away, but Aemond forced him to go to the coronation. He told Alicent he didn't believe Viserys changed his mind about Rhaenyra and asked Alicent if she loved him because he thought she was just using him, and not only did Otto confirm his belief Viserys didn't name him heir, now Aemond and Alicent are both telling him to stfu and keeping him in the dark. All of his fears and doubts are coming true, of course he'd try and prove himself.

Rhaenys has Targaryen as well as Baratheon lineage. If you look at both of those houses motto: "Fire and Blood" and " Ours is the Fury" it tells you all you need to know about how she wouldn't retreat, its not in her nature/blood to do so. A true dragon rider; through and through! To Rhaenys and Meleys, two real ones!!
