FINALE TIME!!!! Was this the grossest season? Where did it measure amongst the other seasons?
  • Kimiko screaming "NO" as they took Frenchie away is heart-wrenching. Just imagine her forcing the word out and having to experience losing AGAIN someone that she loved is really heartbreaking.
  • How was ANY of what happened with Ryan Billy's fault? Mallory is the one that dropped bomb after bomb after bomb on him and tried to force him into being a weapon. Billy was trying to get her to stop, he wanted to slowly ease Ryan into the truth and he even told him at the start that he wouldn't try to stop him if he didn't wanna stay. What bizarro universe are y'all living in? (EDIT) I'm not talking about what billy has done overall, I'm talking about what happened in THIS episode.
  • Why are we blaming Billy for the Ryan situation, that was all on Mallory
  • Blaming butcher is a wild take considering she panicked, dropped a bunch of nukes on Ryan then went "Help us stop your dad" instantly afterwards.
  • @Potato98765
How tf are they blaming Billy. Billy was literally telling Ryan that he could be with Homelander if he wanted to. Grace was the one that pushed it.
  • Hughie and Marvin trying to nod, laugh and smile their way out of a confrontation with the Shifter was A+
  • What Ryan did to Mallory is not due to Butcher, it was due to Mallory.

that shot of Ashley running from the meeting room while the camera focuses on the Atrain statue is so beautiful and might be my favourite shot of the episode and one of the best in the show. The simplicity of the shot telling us that A-Train made the decision to leave (and made a great decision) and offered to bring Ashley but she denied, and she now needs to leave but can’t so she has to resort to taking V is such great storytelling. All she had to do was go with the GOAT, A-Train.

I'm confused on how anyone would consider the ryan situation butcher's fault, mallory escalated the whole thing
  • @BillsRule250
Starlight blasting off like that was pretty badass
  • @Agent-57
"3 episodes in a row, give this man a happy ending" Cuts to S5, Hughie getting SA'ed in prison.
  • @BangHJL
Nah, blaming Butcher is straight up dumb, I'm sorry. Grace ruined everything by info-dumping Ryan that hard & threatened to lock him up. What did she think was gonna happen? All that was 100% her fault.

Hell of a season finale...S4 was good but mainly character development season which is good, obviously now S5 being the final season needs to be a full plot season, especially also being only 8 episodes
  • @Yeen66
The negotiating with Ryan was completely Mallory's fault tbh
  • @Jretoven
Wasnt Butchers fault, it 100% went wrong because of Mallory. Butcher giving Ryan the option to leave or stay solely depending on how he feels showed that he trusted Ryan enough to make the right decision as long as he was actually allowed to choose his fate for himself. Ryan cant trust somebody that doesnt trust him, thats why he was so apprehensive when he realized what Mallory was implying. Dumping years of trauma onto a kid with superpowers then telling him he HAS to kill his dad in the span of 2 minutes would obviously evoke an emotional reaction. Ryan is a kid who has honestly been through alot, so it was obvious to Butcher that the best way to engage with Ryan was by showing mutual trust and forming a real bond through common interests. Butcher was actually being a real father in these moments despite the added motives. He was trying to guide Ryan slowly into forming his own opinion based on what he knows is right or wrong, thats why he was so proud when Ryan spoke up on the live broadcast with the puppets. He knew the lessons him and Becca instilled in Ryan were sinking in and he was realizing the reality of the situation. Trying to tell him you're going to gas him and lock him in a cage until he can kill his dad would obviously make him feel scared, betrayed, panicked, etc. Mallory really just ruined The Boys greatest potential asset smh.

I don’t think enough people are making the parallel between Homelander and Sage. When she reveals she did it to “see if I could” Homelanders eerie violin theme played as she smiled, giggled and became excited about the opportunity.
  • How they blaming Butcher for what happened with Ryan he was trying to take it slow and deescalate
  • @BumpyBaluga
Classic Normies, making the assumptions thinking its Billy's fault. Lol
