  • "People don't buy WHAT you do, they buy WHY you do it." He knows the power of this sentence because he deliberately repeats it.

Even after so many years, this talk by Simon will always be relevant and inspiring.

September 2022 it is... and it still blows me away how good he drives his point home. Amazing!
  • @TheHolosim
I love how, at 10:26, Simon mentions how in "1903 the Wright Brothers took flight"... just as the sound of a plane flying by can be heard in the background.

I've never felt the need to listen, learn, rewind till I absorb every single word. This is just a goldmine, easily the best TedTalk on business and human psychology I've ever seen. Thank you Simon

Did anyone else notice that at 10:27 when Simon says (haha!), "The Wright Brothers took flight," that a small engine plane could be heard at that exact moment??

Insane synchronicity of an airplane flying overhead outside at 10:29, "...the Wright Bros. took flight..."
  • @Robreehl1
I just watched this ... again ... for the "I don't know how many times" and it still rings true. may be more relevant in today's world than when it was first created in 2009! It is truly inspiring and motivating. Simon Sinek is a genius!

This speech is beyond me. I'll definitely re-watch it many times. I'll keep re-watching it until it truly sinks in.

Timeless. It's 2021 here and this speech (and ideas) are still relevant today. Although the mention of Gateway making flat panel TV's or Dell manufacturing PDA's and MP3 players was very nostalgic.
