  • Do you consider this style to be cultural appropriation or not? Share your opinions with us below!
  • As Mexican, living in the US, I can assure you, we do NOT have a problem with other people emulating and enjoying our culture. I very much admire and am intrigued by the Japanese myself. This whole “Cultural appropriation” is getting out of hand. We have real issues here, like actual racism and hatred toward us. The Japanese celebrating some aspects of Mexican culture is a welcome relief. In fact, if more people celebrated each other’s cultures, in a beautiful exchange, we would probably have a lot less racism, God bless
  • @myralok
The thing about Mexicans is we don’t offend easily... this is legit flattering.
  • As a mexican this makes me kinda cry because I never really saw this much of people that works to understand and love to our culture in such admiration way instead of fear and judgement WORK IT MI AMIGAS/AMIGOS 🖤🤘🏼💀
  • As a Chicano myself this actually suprised me and it’s awesome we don’t get much love so this puts a smile on my face
  • As a Hispanic girl, I feel so flattered. I've never really seen people admire the culture this way. It really is refreshing
  • they’re not chicanos but they love our culture and are interested in our history. respect ✊🏼
  • Forget about the cultural appropriation part. I love what these Japanese people are doing! Much love and respect from México 🇲🇽🇯🇵🇲🇽🇯🇵
  • As a chicana this is very flattering ☝🏼 I like how the style is genuine and not used as a form of mockery
  • Yo I'm Mexican and I'm not offended, I'm flattered. I want to go hang out with my Japanese Mexicans 😂
  • @honey0983
I get why people can find this offensive but they arent claiming it as their own. they're in love with the culture and acknowledge where it came from and just want to learn as much as they can about it. some yall a little to sensitive
  • As a chicano I 1000% am happy and honored they love and respect my culture. And to be fair Mexico and a ton of Latin America loves Japan and it's culture. 🇲🇽🇯🇵🌮🍙
  • As a Chicano I don’t see an issue with this, es mas me da gusto ver nuestro cultura apreciado todos lados. We consider this a blessing to my concern
  • "Maybe this is what the future looks like: A world where culture isn't only where you come from, but also where you fit in".
  • as a chicana, i feel kind of special because there is people who really appreciate our culture and stuff.
  • As a Mexican American, I don’t see this a cultural appropriation! There’s respect, there’s love, they’re not just dressing up like chicanas because they like the aesthetic, they feel like themselves when they do! I honestly love sharing my culture! Like what Mona said, I feel proud, I feel happy, when people of other cultures, embrace and respect mine!
  • As a Mexican in the US I also assure you we have no problem with Japan people loving our culture! We also love Japanese people! ♥️
  • @pbc_03
low rider culture in japan....anime cosplay culture in america....all good.
  • Mexican American here, and this makes me feel so happy. I can tell they really appreciate the culture. Love this
  • There’s something special about seeing both sides of my family’s cultures blended like this. I’m Mexican and Japanese born is America. The racism in America to both my family’s cultures is horrific, but seeing the two of them come together is such a fun and beautiful way is so amazing. It warms my heart and makes me smile. 💕
