This is the kind of K-Pop I like to listen
-
This song was sung during the 5.18 Democratization Movement, but since then it has appeared a lot in protests in Korea. This song was also sung by protesters in front of the National Assembly during the 2016 protest calling for the impeachment of President Park Geun-hye, which heated up South Korea. An interesting fact is that when the lyrics of this song called '뜨거운 함성(passionate cry)' were sung, it was announced by the National Assembly that the motion for impeachment had been passed, and a really 'passionate cry' was heard.

“산 자여 따르라” is closer to “those who are still alive, follow us!”
-
2:24 I think the more correct interpretation would be "We are marching on, follow, those who yet live." Chills.

the lyrics "앞서서 나가니 산자여 따르라" would be more likely to be "those who are still alive, follow the march!"
