TFD Class 110 enjoyed their day in the flashover chamber. Inside this metal structure, sometimes referred to as the “Can,” training officers burn class “A” combustibles. The training allows firefighters to watch a fire grow from the incipient stage to flashover. Instructors teach the to look for signs of impending flashover. Learning how to recognize a potential flashover before it happens could save their lives.
