Of the four regional dungeons, this one was by far the best. It really did feel the closest to a more traditional Zelda dungeon. Even had sort of an Indiana Jones feel with the various traps, and how you just kept going "deeper" (or higher, really) into it. Probably should have been called "Light Temple" given there wasn't really all that much actual electric-based puzzles (like there was with Vah Naboris).

9:00 i love how this is just the attacking vah naboris theme

this temple was incredible. it wasnt just a pyramid shaped dungeon, it really took its design from the Egyptian and Mesoamerican pyramids, with the step well design taken from India on the outside. the interior really reminded me of an Egyptian pyramid, specifically in the lower areas with the narrow chambers and steep staircases leading to more ceremonial chambers. It seemed similar to the queens burial chamber in the great pyramid at Giza.

While I long for the more linear style of dungeons, the Lightning Temple felt like a perfect balance between the linear and nonlinear formulas, which was what made it so good compared to the other dungeons in the game. If Nintendo can replicate the magic of the Lightning Temple in future Zelda games/DLC, I'll be quite happy.

This is certainly the most intricate and extensive of the temple themes, with a couple unique tracks as you enter the temple, an extended outro, and even a phase that lasts 3½ minutes before looping. It'll be interesting to see how they handle this music on an official soundtrack release... but for now, enjoy!

I'm so glad I did this temple first. While the other temples made me want to run thru to find the next wonderful thing, the atmosphere here made me want to go slow and savor it. Walking slowly down into the temple with a torch and Riju behind me, this song inviting my imagination to envision a grand glorious past for the Gerudo, despite Ganondorf's wicked rule being fully on display in the memories.

Best temple, best sage, amazing atmosphere/music and amazing boss fight, also, amazing video! Nice duration and transitions for each phase!

One battery remains is my favorite rendition of "Attack on Vah Naboris". It was already my favorite theme in BOTW, this just tops it completely. The ethereal vibe exuded by the singing gods (I presume) and the outstretched crescendo in just that one phase alone is nothing short of phenomenal.

Easily my favorite, this felt EXACTLY how a Zelda temple should feel! Like don't get me wrong, I was happy with the other ones too, but other than the Wind Temple, this one just radiated traditional dungeon atmosphere and puzzles that actually took some thought to figure out Like the actual path to enter inside made me feel like I was descending into dark depths that should be taken seriously. (In a way it reminded me of a mix of arbiter grounds from TP and the Shadow Temple from OoT) only less, haunted or so. The music was also amazing!
  • @KokonutOil
I got major Arbiter's Grounds vibes with this place

This was the coolest dungeon I think.
  • @HotWiredMedia
My favorite temple in the whole game. Love this song!

Best temple by far, great puzzles and theming put together. Not even mentioning the music, it fits so well.

Funny story. While going through this temple, the last battery I activated was the one that was, like, right next to the elevator that takes you to the boss. It was kind of anticlimactic, but god it was so freaking funny hearing the epic music for like 2 minutes and then it just finishes. Well, at least to me anyways.

I loved this temple ! Even if the other dungeons were amazing I really felt like I was in the the old TLOZs games (The Spirit temple in Ocarina of time for exemple) and I really liked the fact that we had to use the mirrors, it reminds me of the stone tower temple in Majora's Mask. Also the music of this one is an absolute banger, I was able to hear Urbosa's theme (and since this theme was my favorite I was very pleased. I'm going to stop because I think I could write an essay on how this temple was my favorite. (and sorry for the mistakes, English is not my first language)

This was the best dungeon by far. Although the trip to the Lightning Temple didn't quite have the same scale as the journey to the other temples.

They were pretty smart with designing this temple. While in the Fire temple, using ascend could skip portions of the temple (and to this day I'm not sure exactly how they wanted you to get to 3F without ascend), in the Lightning temple, if you use Ascend, you likely end up outside because the building is a staircase structure, so that doesn't help. One time I used ascend and ended up in the final boss room on 7f, but i wasn't able to skip the temple and start the boss because Riju wasn't with me. On my first playthrough, I did ascend from the basement when I reached the wall of fire because I wasn't sure I could actually get past, and that skipped the Room of Hopeful Light. I was confused about how to get in there. Only when I did my second playthrough did I realize I was supposed to hit a switch (I used Sidon to get past it, who I didn't have on my first playthrough). So that was the only time ascend ruined the dungeon for me
