This really does feel like those nights when I'd be over at a friend's place until 3am, then have to take the bus home across London to get back home.

I could've really used that song in a night back in 2015, when we were on a school trip to London. It was the first time I'd ever left the country without my parents. Earlier that day, our group of friends raced through the city, seeing who could reach the hotel the fastest. My friend and I lost, so we had to buy a sixpack of Heinecken beer as a reward for the winners. It got dark and us four snuck up onto the roof - not a roof top terrace, mind you - just the roof of the hotel. We took out a beer each and gazed upon the skyline and listened to the city sounds. Pretty amazing for a rural countryside kid like me, who's only used to farmland and birds. After a few minutes we heard the voices of our teachers and freaked out: Shiiit we're not supposed to be up here and we're not supposed to have alcohol! Suddenly our economics teacher stuck up his head through the roof window, through which we had also climbed through. We nearly shat our pants. He just smiled and said: "Oh sweet! A sixpack for just four people? Mind if Mrs. X and I join you?"... was one of the most beautiful experiences ever. I've now forgot what we talked about. I'm sure it was nothing special, but I clearly remember lying on that roof, whith three friends and two teachers, looking at London move, happily drinking my looser beer.
