  • I plan on attempting 4 uploads on the 2nd channel. Every time I get a notification that you uploaded I get get motivated. So hopefully I actually go through with it baby boy
  • In the late 1880's a young woman reporter by the name of Nellie Bly pretended to be mentally ill and was admitted to Bellevue Hospital infamous mad house. 10 days later she emerged with an astounding report on the conditions and practices she discovered there. That was just one of her many accomplishments in her long career as a reporter and adventurer.
  • My brother-in-law was a mental health Doctor. He passed 2 weeks ago and the people with mental conditions are truly going to miss an Angel. Several times he went before the U.S congress to ask for help in his facility which started with 20 employees and now has over 700. He was such a good soul and this profession will continue with all he fought for. RIP Dennis for a job well done. You will continue to be remembered for the outstanding work you have done.
  • Very nice story, love the rare occasion when the "bad guy" is shown in a way that you can empathize with. Definitely one of the better stories I've heard in a bit, I wish I had come across it sooner.
  • The more he explained it, the more I understood. Though his methods are questionable, not everybody has a mental illness; some people are just bad.
  • To be honest, don’t we all have at least one person in our lives that we would happily turn over to the Wasserman Center?
  • While this story gives me different opinions and conflicting feelings I still am absolutely in love with it. It's very hard to write a completely neutral villain and I commend this person for achieving that.
  • I love that the protagonist's name is Nelson Bly. Great little nod to history.
  • The fact that I’ve listened to like ALL of your videos within the span of a week??? Amazing. I’ve spent more time listening than I have on my homework ☠️☠️☠️
  • “Lets call her Monica” Me, Monica, trying to fall asleep to this: “oh-“

Part 25 of thanking the lighthouse horror for his constant uploads Half way to 50 days in a row
  • Why am I seeing this only now?? This story is sooooo magnificent..I can't even start to peel off the different layers of this masterpiece.. Perfectly narrated Stephen!!
  • It's the moral quagmire of this story that had me wide eyed at work. Legitimately contemplating what my own response would be leaves me concerned
  • This is ridiculous,,, I'm officially addicted to your narration. 🥰👍

This undercover psych ward investigation is a decent story. The investigator and the doctor both prove the point and i like how the doctor agrees not to kill the investigator and I like how the investigator agrees not to expose the doctor and the works of the asylum mainly, if the doctor kills the investigator then the doctor is crazy so instead the doctor discharges the investigator and the investigator agrees not to shut down the entire psych ward because mainly, “the psych ward contains a lot of ill and very bad people which really no investigator should let out.” Which the investigator agrees and gives the phone. Which the story is badass
  • My mom was a psych nurse for 28 yrs in a state mental hospital, so I've heard some real horror stories! I had to hear this as soon as I saw it! It didn't disappoint!
  • Great story by SilasCrane! Very interesting story and turned out totally differently from what was expected. It was made completely unique by its unexpected turn and ultimate outcome. Well done! Excellent narration! Lighthouse Horror NEVER disappoints!! Thank you both very much!!
  • i’ve been to mental hospitals and hearing stories like these make is more anxiety inducing than it needs to be.

When was in Nursing, I did a placement in a Mental Ward for Four months. If people understood what the majority of the patients did before they entered the Ward, you'd be sick to your stomachs. It's easy for so many to condemn the care of patients when you don't have to do the job. Grant it, there are some institutions that are deplorable, and I agree, that's wrong to expect people to live that way; but just to have Institutions available is safe for both the public and the patients. Canada has closed the majority of it's Institutions, and that makes me extremely uneasy. Some people should be locked away for forever because of the Evil that lives within them.
