My family actually fry our wontons in addition to making the soup version. If you top the wonton soup with some fried wontons, it makes a wonderful texture contrast. My favorite way of eating wonton soup is with some chili oil, fried garlic, and lime on the side.

Forget chicken noodle soup, this is my go-to when I'm feeling under the weather. I THINK it makes me feel better, so it works. Can't wait to make this for myself.

I’m literally addicted to this Channel! I’ve been so intimidated by Asian cooking but this makes me want to jump in the kitchen and start cooking!

Wonton soup is definitely my all time favorite. The depth of the broth and silky wonton wins me over every time. I never knew what the flavor combination of the broth was. Thanks for clueing me in! 😋

I made this today, the flavor is amazing, much deeper than you would get in a Chinese restaurant. Marion, you are right, the dried shrimp make a big difference so grateful to the Oriental market. I bought beef and vegetable wontons from the market, will simmer them in the broth. What a treat to know I have three more pints of soup in my freezer for my next fix! I positively love your recipes, I am addicted to your braised, red pork ribs, I dream about them!

Hello from Miami. I went to an Asian grocery store yesterday to get all the ingredients and made this recipe. As you said in the video, there is no place to hide so I carefully followed the step by step directions. It turned out to be sooo good! I linked up to your website for the full recipe and realized the salt is missing from the list of ingredients.

Fantastic techniques video. Whenever I go to the Asian market to buy the ingredients for dumplings and wontons I wind up buying the bags of frozen dumplings and wontons because they are so reasonably priced and taste great.

You inspired me to cook this long lost dish tonight, love the taste of the soup, fillings of the Wantons even my daughter approves of it. Thanks Marion.

Growing up my mom handmade wontons with minced pork, shrimp & added fresh chinese water chestnut (chopped into mini pieces) along with flavors so yummy. It was her own very unique way in the recipe. When I ate the wontons, I can hear the crunchy sound from the water chestnut & the flavor is amazing! I miss my mom's cooking so much. 😔 Love Marion's Kitchen channel!🤗
