Poppy, thank you so much for a fabulous explanation of how to construct this bench; your attention to detail made for a beautiful bench.

I like the bench, which after viewing many others, I'm going to copy yours to make mine for my shop. Thank you.

Great looking table. You were very meticulous and it shows in your lovely end product.
  • Great idea to use the oscilating saw for cleaning out the lap joints! I've always used a chisel but your way looks easier and faster.

I just completed this work bench and it came out great. The only thing I did different was I shortened the legs by a few inches and added 4in castor wheels . Thanks for your video.

Great, simple build. I think I’ll do similar, but leave more overhang on one side for a bench vise πŸ‘πŸ»

I really like that there is not wasted space in your design. I went through a bunch of other designs, but yours is much more efficient. Going to start on it tomorrow and you mentioned that you have a updated design with drawers? I have subscribed and will be looking for your updated video. Thanks.
  • Good, solid construction. I think you need to feature your shop foreman though. Beautiful pupper. :D

If you are a rookie, then I'm a bench warmer. I appreciate a video showing how to build things with just basic tools - like most of us beginners. Other videos use planers, template jigs, expensive accessories for screwing holes, etc.. Your video shows beginners don't need all that fancy equipment to build a simple sturdy workbench with careful squaring, cutting and measurements.

Kreg has a circular saw crosscut jig for $20! I just got one and its awesome. I use it with my 60V Dewalt circular saw like yours. BTW, im also a"rookie", lol
