Dude! At the table saw - push stick!!! (We don't wanna be calling you "Lefty".)
  • I won't spend that amount of time on my workbench frame but I certainly WOULD buy cabinets from you. GREAT job so far! !! !!!
  • Love your videos and your presentation, we all make mistakes and when you do you correct them you don't go back and refilm to make everything seem perfect. Watching you feed the wood through the table saw I shudder since for the most part you aren't using a push block or push stick, I have used my 5hp table saw for 35 years and thankfully I still have all my fingers but have learned that a push stick and or a push block has saved me many times over the years. Can't wait for more videos , thank you
  • Butcher block means having the end grain as the working surface. I see that your glasses provide excellent protection to your hat. Makes it easy to spot the commercial production influences!!! Stavros
  • Thank you. I'll use this vid for ideas on a bench for my new shop. Happy 2023 from Va.

With all the high dollar equipment you have it appears you could have just bought a new work bench! LOL!
  • @IRBOSNM8
Great presentation. Looks great so far... can't wait for part 2
  • Love your work and ideas from a fellow eNC resident. I've created workbenches in my attached garage with countertops and 15 inch shelf brackets and mounted them to my walls with some GRK lags. I do want to make a workbench like the one your making on casters as well.

Nice and EASY...! Even I might manage a build like this!
  • My friend, I use the same exact brand CCA. You sprayed your accelerant to soon. Spray, literally just before you drop the block onto the leg. The spray causes the Acrylate to set almost instantaneously.

Congratulations on the 20k 👊🏼. Just a pro tip 🤔 You should consider chamfering the under side of the dog holes to prevent chipping.
  • @ramosc3
Just an FYI ….. the butcher block recommends sealing & / or finishing within 72 hours so that it doesn’t warp with humidity changes
  • Nice job mate. For the little clamping blocks, I guess it didn’t work because of the tape, glue it directly to the stretchers, it will come off with a lateral hammer tap with a little sanding afterwards… my 2 cents.. 😉

CA glue doesn't work well for calls if you need a bit of clamping pressure. I saw the tops at Lowe's on sale the other day AFTER building my new outfeed table, would have loved to have had a top like that. Great Build looking forward to part II. Later from GVegas!
