We review and compare the new 2020 Chevy Corvette vs the 2019 Corvette C7 Grand Sport. A usual, we take our time and do a comprehensive technical review on the road and track. In a world full of crazy cars like the Dodge Hellcat, Ford Shelby GT500, and Camaro ZL1 the new C8 is a supercar on paper. We look at the good and bad to find out if all the hype is real or is this another Fiero?

    | just don't understand how GM can produce so many unmitigated pieces of shit and then also produce this. It feels like something made completely insulated from the rest of the company which is run by penny pinching accountants and executives trying to boost short term stock price with no long term vision. I really hope this is an indicator of the way of the future for GM.

This car makes me angry at GM. It shows what they can do when they want to do something.

Finally saw a C8 in person, in red, and the car was stunning. Can't believe an American company made this vehicle. Pictures and video don't do it justice.

It's great seeing Jack's camera composure completely change from when he first started. His hard work and dedication paid off, dude looks smooth as hell now with the conversation. Great addition to the team!

"that's what makes this a far batter street car than a track car" - well that's exactly what we want Mark. 90% of the average Joe's watching this channel, that are also car enthusiasts, and hope to eventually own this as a pre-owned, don't go to the track. Beautiful looking Corvette, I imagine it would shine in the twisties. Great review sir!

When you haven't even watched the video but hit the like button because you know you're gonna be pleased with the level of craftsmanship you put into these videos
  • Wow this is Savagegees at it's superlative finest. Saved for my Saturday prime time viewing and was not disappointed. No where else can I get this kind of deep analytical impression and testing.
  • @theussoul
Really honest guys. "Get the longest warranty you can possibly afford." "Agreed."
  • @deanchur
Was waiting for Corvette guy :( "I'm rich, why is this a problem!"

    High Points of 2020: - Mid-engine Corvette

The new one is for me. A GT car that I can take to the track twice a year. Perfect But I'll wait a yr or two for the kinks to be worked out. Never get the first gen of any car.
  • Toyota: it costs too much to make our own sports car, we need to partner with Subaru and BMW. Gm: we made a mid engined Corvette for 60k Mazda: we developed a specific platform for a Miata even though we're a small company for 25k Toyotas excuse is bs
  • You guys knew you had to get this one right. GM must've blindfolded their accounting department while they developed this. I hope they sell a million Trax's on the back of the C8
  • @LeOubreJr
Just wait till the zo6 review. That’ll be insane.

We picked up our 2023 3LT Non Z51 HTC with magnetic ride, front lift, performance exhaust, Carbon Flash wheels, low spoiler, top, nacelles, mirrors, side blades, and rockers which look great on the Arctic White vehicle on 08/10/23. It replaced our 2008 3LT convertible with the NPP exhaust and manual transmission. I thought I would miss the manual transmission but this vehicle performs so well that is not an issue. I have been driving for 64 years, started on the back roads of the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, and this is by far the best vehicle I have ever driven and am privileged to own.

What’s remarkable about this review is that every single time a new Corvette comes out every publication goes on and on about how the new one is vastly superior to the old one like it was never any good to begin with, and SG is like.... “nah, the old one is more fun.”
  • @DDM7406
Mark went on a jog before he drove the car? He looks like he's in a sauna
  • im so glad you guys included an actual track review for this! My biggest complaint about youtube car reviews is that they're talking about it in the context of pulling 2Gs in the intersection on the way to get groceries. I hope you include more track reviews in the future!
