DO NOT DRIVE WITH NO AIRFILTER. 75 bucks K/N lifetime cleanable very breathable upgrade air filter. Makes a difference!

To each his own! Exactly! I've gone, and still going nuts on a 2015 Durango RT. It weights more than the rams! Gonna try the intake trick next time I go to the track. Trying to hit the 12s naturally aspirated near sea level. Gotta do quite a bit more to hit it here in Vegas.

I left my air box in, K&N filter. I took the air box snorkel and rotated it down 90°. Pulls in more air than through the fender. Keeping it stock, Ram 1500 crew cab, Outdoorsman. Installed BBK Headers, and Flowmaster Outlaw stainless exhaust kit. I Don't run it down the track, my daily driver, but I work with drag racers. Seems like they are rubbing off on me. Lol.
  • You’d get much colder air by putting that cone filter into that box these things are engineered to get colder air from stock doing that with the air intake youre just getting a lot more engine bay hot air opposed to putting the cone filter inside of that box and sucking in the air from behind your headlight outside the engine bay.

man that sounds good !!! I imagine what it sounds like in person !!!
  • #4 Mod to loose another 120 pounds weight, don't go to the track with a full tank of fuel. In fact on takeoff that liquid is thrown/sloshed to the rear causing a slight pull. I run a 1/8 tank and bring cans.

To get really fast times at the track remove Hood, doors, bed, cab, bumbers, all glass remove the driver set just use a bucket.

3:41 it would be better if yall just get a hi flow air filter. Cheaper than a cold air intake and you can hot rod it in town without worrying about your intake sucking in dirt and stuff

Agree removing the clutch fan is definitely noticeable easily 10-15 hp. Not huge but anything helps. I did the V6 direct plug and play with 180 stat looks like factory. My Ram Rt is running cool and also mpg's go up with clutch fan delete.

Brother, in your opinion who is the best custom tuner? I have a Diablo I3 Platinum tuner. I own a 2007 ram 1500 SLT 4x4 4 door with (used to be) a 5.7l. I have bored and stroked it to 397ci with molnar 4.080 crank, 6.125 I-beam rods, and CP Eagle pistons (9.6cc dish) and installed an Inertia cam (I have cam specs). MDS delete, Eagle heads, and will be installing the 6.4L intake manifold and some sort of CAI. I have 392 injectors, pacesetter long tube headers, no cats, and a pacesetter 3" Y pipe. Tranny is the 545rfe with a Transgo valve body and Sonnax RFE-LB1 line pressure booster. I would like to adjust shift points, MDS delete from the ECM, raise speed and rev limiters, and adjust for tire size (35x12.50x18). Can you suggest a custom tuner? Is it better to find a local dyno shop and have them tune it? I'm in the Dallas area. Thanks!

What does your truck weigh after dumping the excess weight. My 2012 bighorn 4 door 4 wd full interior with a cap and gear in the bed weighs in at 6250 with driver.
  • Does it have a stall and anything done to trans? Thinking about cam package from TSP but I heard greene where it’s at.
