I'm from Chicago. I saw every game he ever played and saw him play in person a dozen or more times. Youngblood...we have NEVER seen anything like him. He is the most complete player I've ever seen. He had no weaknesses. He destroyed everyone from his first game forward. He is by far the most athletic, fundamentally sound, defensive demon, scoring machine I and the NBA has ever seen.

He may have lost against the Celtics but he was still the best player on the court.

People always show the last shot in 98, but forget the clutch plays right before it. The bulls were down 3 with 42 seconds left after stockon hit a 3. Jordan got the inbound drove in and made a contested layup, then came down and got a steal on Malone, and then hit the game and championship winner.

At the height of his career, he took off two years. Imagine 2 more titles, two more scoring championships, one or two more MVPs, two more all star games, two more all NBA, maybe another Defensive Player of the Year. All those additional points, steals, block, assists.

1996 Bulls record with regular season and postseason combined was 87-13. The Golden St Warriors final tally was 87-17. The only reason Golden St got 87 wins was because the 1st round is a best of 7 now, Jordan had a best of 5 sweep. The only claim Golden St has is that they won one more during the regular season. The argument for best team ever isn't up for debate. That 87-13 96 Bulls was the one that won't be beat. I don't care if you go 80-2 and then lose in the playoffs. Means nothing.

There isn't a real case for anyone being over Jordan. MJ has no equal Jordan on Offense 30.1ppg for his career, most in NBA history 33.4ppg career playoffs average, most in NBA history 33.6ppg in 6 Finals appearances, most in NBA history 41.0ppg in a Finals series, most in NBA history 10 Scoring titles, most in NBA history 10 seasons with 2,000+ points, most in NBA history Jordan with Analytics PER (Player Efficiency Rating): Highest in history for both the regular season (27.91) and the playoffs. (28.6) Win Shares per 48 (WS/48): Highest in history for both the regular season (.2505) and the playoffs (.2553) Box plus Minus: Highest in history for both the regular season (9.22) and the playoffs (11.14) VORP per Game: Highest in history for both the regular season (.1083) and the playoffs(.1382) Jordan on Defense He was the first player in history to be selected to 9 All Defensive First teams. He was the first player in history to get 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season, it has still only been done by 3 players. (Michael did it twice). He was the steals leader 3 times. He's the only guard in history, relative to his position, both in the Top 5 for blocks and Top 5 for steals. He was the defensive Player of the Year and Scoring Champion in the same year, the only player in history to accomplish this. His 131 blocks for the 1988 season is still the most blocks in a season by a guard in NBA history.

Gotta be honest, I still get chills when I hear that 90's Chicago player introduction music and announcement.

The one thing young fans don’t understand when they see highlights of Michael Jordan is they don’t see the context behind that highlight. A lot of those highlights was when he’s dropped 6,8,10 straight points on the opponent during key times in the game, to where they had to call time out.

Great video young man…keep at it….MJ actually defeated Larry Bird 8 times before he even played his first NBA game. The ‘84 Olympic team MJ was on beat the NBA all stars 8 consecutive games without a loss. Early on when he faced the Celtics you have to remember he was playing 5 hall of fame players for Boston. He still got 63. He didn’t have Pippen that year. These days load management….please. Jordan felt he had to play every game and play his best every game because he said this might be their only chance to see him play. Scottie Pippen is top 40 all time…insanely athletic and he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. I can watch his dunk on Ewing any time

People would look at the 90's as a far more complete and competent and competitive team if the Cavs, Knicks, Phx, Jazz, Supersonics had won; and they all do win, if MJ and the Bulls weren't around. It is only b/c of the dominance of MJ and the Bulls that people think it was a weak era. I would be insulted if I were Miller, Shaq, Penny, Larry Johnson, Malone, Stockton, and so many others. There was legit great players in the league, and they weren't just out there on their teams by themselves getting torched by MJ and a stacked Bulls team. Also, MJ being described as competition incarnate is a perfect way to describe him.

I never seen that block before I grew up watching Jordan he jump so high with the intention to jump with the right hand but blocks him with the left. He was a bad man!
  • @whenisdinner2137
He didn't beat bird because he didn't have the team for it. Once the Bulls got good Larry Bird was retired due to injury. Jordan put up on playoff record 63 points against Bird's best team
  • The Celtic had 5 hall of famers in their starting 5. The only team that gave those Celtics any type of competition was the Dr. J Sixers and Magic Johnson, Kareem and the Lakers.
  • @rkymtnchi503
The most competitive person alive, a ridiculously talented athlete, the hardest-working man on the court....Michael had a lot of things that added up to make him the GOAT. One of his biggest advantages is little-known. When Phil Jackson was asked by a reporter what Jordan's greatest attribute was, Phil said "his hands". MJ had some massive mitts, and it allowed him to palm that ball like you or I would palm a grapefruit
  • @curtayars7344
Here's a statement that I've never heard from any announcer about any player coming into the NBA "He's going to be the next LeBron James"!!!! Everyone is still to this day comparing the young NBA talent to Michael Jordan!!!! 100% facts
  • @dougharvey361
Mike played bird in his rookie years with no help, bird was a beast with a hall of famer team
