I sit down with investigative Mexican Cartel / Narcos reporter Luis Chaparro to discuss the DEA's arms deals with the Sinaloa Cartel, and how China is sending chemists to work with drug cartels to produce the most potent fentanyl on the planet to be smuggled into the United States.

It was a pleasure to be on your show. Im hoping to keep bringing more interesting stories that are affecting us both in the US and Mexico.

Shawn Ryan is starting to become the only voice I trust in the "news/media". And that's because he's neither. He's just a truth teller. Keep up the awesome work, Shawn.

To be honest. As a Mexican, I can tell you that the best thing to do here is to have both EdCalderon and this gentlemen on the show on together that way you can get both perspectives because Ed can tie in all the stuff he is talking about

This is like the new 60 Minutes. I get informed about issues I care about, without any non-sense.

My attention span is not normally this long but he was an absolutely fascinating guest. Brave man and Great Show

Love these long-format interviews with people behind the scenes dealing with Cartels. The American Media barely scratches the surface of these stories, so thank you for your service!
  • As a border resident that doesnā€™t do much social media this is something I wish folks would have heard over a decade ago. I know how shady the DEA operated when I worked the border. China has a hand in the mining industry, even with locals being armed by them to push back in their mining areasā€¦. So much going on. This ones gonna be good

As the chief bodyguard for a American / Mexican Corporation these videos help me show new bodyguards exactly how real the threat is

At certain times, I can actually see Shawn's brain connecting the dots and relating someone's story to his experiences. It's really cool to see.

From someone born and raised in El Paso and Juarez thank you both for shedding the light and showing the truth. Great job

The story of El Mayo and El Vencintillo, his son, is absolutely fascinating. Iā€™m surprised more ppl donā€™t know about it. Vincent met with the DEA to give info leading to the arrest of an opposing cartel and after he left the hotel meeting with the DEA, was arrested by Mexican police then extradited to the US. The US wanted him to flip on El Mayo but after talking with his father, decided to flip on El Chapo instead. He was the lead cooperating witness in El Chapoā€™s trial. After serving some time, Vincentillo joined witness protection in the US, which is crazy because his father El Mayo is probably the top guy on the FBI and DEAā€™s most wanted list. A lot of ppl now tho believe that he is back working with the Sinaloa Cartel and back under his father. Edit: I didnā€™t realize he was going to talk about this on the podcast lol. Still really interesting. Netflix has a show called ā€œDrug Lordsā€ and the episode about El Mayo covers all of this.

As always your show remains to be not only one of my favorites to watch, but one of the most crucial types of information the US needs in these times. Keep up the great work, Shawn.

Absolutely love seeing these notifications come across my phone. I'm sure the Blackwater episode took awhile so I'm glad to see you cranking them out!! Keep doing that and I'll keep watching/listening!!!

We need more of these, some people donā€™t understand the cartels and donā€™t realize how much power they have. Not to mention theyā€™re just a couple hours away.
