Also, Lionel Richie deserves a hugeeee standing ovation for his role here. Hosted the AMAs, won prizes, went to the studio, kept solving problems, made everyone feel at ease, made them laugh, kept guiding people, SANGGGG, and stayed until the very end (and of course he co wrote the song!!!!). Here in June 2024 after watching the Netflix documentary. It's amazing how distinctive and identifiable each of their voices is, then when they come together as a chorus how great they all sound together as one.

Let me get this right. Lionel Richie wrote this song with Michael Jackson, hosted the American Music Awards that night, (where he won multiple awards), and then brought all of these amazing artists together to record this song? In the same night? Are you freaking kidding me?? This answers the question as to who the hardest working man in showbusiness is. Much respect Lionel Richie! And to all of the other brilliant artists who helped create this magical song!

I cried watching the Netflix documentary. What came across is the humanity and humility of these incredible artists who came together and created something special. Amazing! ✨
