Head-tracking FPV close formation & dogfight with a Freewing F-22 Raptor 90mm EDF Jet using Tally-ho Head tracker and Motionsic BAG (BadAss Gimbal pan & tilt) in an E-flite Viper 90mm EDF jet. The chase pilot attempts to maneuver the ViperJet for a guns shot using a functional reflector sight but encounters unexpected difficulties. Head tracking FPV camera enables chase pilot to intuitively follow lead plane through aerobatic maneuvers simply by moving his head without losing sight. It's the most immersive, realistic flying experience possible flying a RC jet!

  • I have no idea how this ended up in my feed, but I'll take it. It's amazing to see how far the RC game has come in the last 25 years.
  • We’re inching closer and closer to mounting pellet guns in these things and I can’t wait! Lol
  • It’s kinda crazy that the same principles of flight apply to small RC planes, just as much as they do with larger planes!

Man! You guys make me feel old. The last time I flew RC was back in 1993. This is all "Star Trek" to me!! It looks sooooooo damn cool. When did all this remote camera stuff really start. I remember so very very primitive stuff at the end of the 90's, but nothing like this! Thanks for the super content!

Omg! I DREAMED of this view when flying RC planes as a kid and now here it is at last! I am in awe!
  • @getit9066
Honestly, this is revolutionary. Easily the biggest jump in RC tech since proportional control hit the big time in the '70s. Cannot wait to set this up in my planes.

Beautiful landing. Amazing. More please! Notes: Wake turbulence is stronger from low-aspect ratio wing aircraft, such as that Raptor. The short wingspan allows more air to join the tip vortices at high AOA. Wake turbulence is strongest at low speed, when induced drag is highest. Go faster (if safe) for less effect. Weight affects it too, although I assume he isn't carrying excess weight for no reason.

So glad youre uploading more content. Especially when you offer information on the 90mm Freewing thoughts .. great video

I've always thought hobby RC was pretty lame, but this actually looks like something I could get into. A HEAD TRACKING GIMBAL!!?? Looks dope AF.
  • @blitzkrieg459
Crazy how technology has advanced. This definitely has a military application for combat drones.
  • I grew up around this as my uncle was a big deal in rc planes selling them and decals for competition all over the world. I always had a issue seeing the direction I was flying so I was afraid to crash planes. Todays cameras are amazing and would of made my life easier. its not cheap to crash a $10k+ plane especially if youre the one building it. Great Video!!

It's nice to see how far we've come in the RC world. At first we were flying paper planes but now we build RC planes so big that we can actually fit in and fly it directly. What a time to be alive if you're an RC enthusiast
  • The filling the gun sights was used for aircraft that didnt use jet engines, so there was no wake. Nowadays, there is generally less dogfights with guns, and more with missiles.
  • @Paul-th9es
I think RC cars are a blast, but this is another level in the hobby. Too cool.
  • @MrBgjbrok
I can't find enough superlatives for this! What a phenomenal video of a fantastic (duo) flight.
  • @jasonck9635
It’s insane how far RC planes have come , it looks so awesome
  • @neongirl
Mankind expects many more wars, but I would like them to be fought in this way in the future. And at the end of the battle, the losing side pays for all the knocked out RC, lol.
