No real credit to Newsom who is doing it only for his own personal gain, but at least some action is done. I doubt this will change much in the overall landscape though. Gascon is still DA and we still have a lot of crime.

The homeless industrial complex is real. A lot of politicians and their friends are invested in non profits. Sadly the vast majority of homeless non profit work is ineffective. Look at how much money has been pumped into the homeless the in recent of years. They haven’t been able to put dent into the problem. You can’t help people that don’t want the help.

Were all these people in power and organizations this loud when the 24 billion went missing for the unhoused? What about when the billions before were wasted? 🙁 Looks like there is more job security in not solving the problem.

Pretty good incentive to get your life together, find help, find a job and a place to live when the alternative is repeatedly getting your trash hut torn down and thrown away.
