I visited Goodwill to find that someone had donated an entire collection. I couldn't just leave it... and so I bought the entire collection for $100.

  • Anyone else don’t collect or buy or resell, just watch because it’s interesting to watch ?
  • The item at 2:50 is a fly swatter holder! My parents had one back in the 70's. It hangs on the wall and you put the handle in from the top & it slides down into it! The swatters had wood handles that matched the front of the holder ... ours was never used, just for decor!! Hadn't seen one in years!
  • Does anyone else like the crinkling sound of the items that are taped or wrapped in plastic when Joselyn picks them up? 💕🤷‍♀️
  • The "Pennsylvania Dutch" wall hanging is really Swedish. It has a dala horse in the lower right hand corner. Score!
  • The person who did all the cross stitch did exceptionally good work.
  • I am so pleased that someone like you would pick up all of those beautiful cross-stitch pieces. They were wonderful, and the fact that you appreciate the work that went into each one is the most special part!! You value the time and love that went into making each one! Thank you!
  • On Saturday my Husband said"do you wanna go thrift shopping?!?!I was like Hell Ya I do because now I know what to look for because of Jocelyn schooled me💟
  • I really enjoy hearing all the clinks & clanks and your thoughts on items in the moment. Makes me feel like I'm right with you. Also appreciate voiceovers when it's too loud & crazy, so thank you for keeping a mix. Fun stitchery hunt today! 🤗
  • Regarding the washboards, the glass ones were for washing your delicates, lace, underclothes etc. Used to volunteer at a living history museum and I taught school kids laundry and butter making.
  • Thank you so much for rescuing all of that stitch-work!! A lot of love and DEVOTION went into them!! XOXO
  • My heart swelled as you put every piece of cross stitch in your cart❤! It is time consuming and definitely a labor of love! I would have bought the Miss Adam's one also because I love rescuing a lost art from those who would do harm to it! Quilts, knitting, crochet & painting find love from me!
  • Thanks for saving the stitching! I've been cross stitching for over 40 years (learned when I was around 10) and I try and rescue as much as I can. The pieces you found do not take that long to stitch and if you get an average of $7-$10 for them, you've done well.
  • I like hearing YOU talk through your decision making. Much more interesting.
  • I love the fact that you value someone's handiwork. A lot of people don't. I always think of the hard work people put into quilts or embroidery etc., and it makes me a little sad when I see they end up in a thrift store. Nice to see you give these pieces a second life.
  • @Jen39x
The cross stitch isn’t just the stitching it’s the quality of the wooden cut outs & paint jobs. I did a lot in the day & these are definitely 80’s but that’s vintage and it’s going to be collectible.
  • I am sure the person that did all the needle work is smiling down on you. I also believe you make connections with people by admiring their belongings. The time they spent making their craft and was disposed and you saved it and will find good homes for them. You are a very special person and good will be with you,
  • I'm addicted to this channel ❤ I appreciate vintage items more and I've learned so much! Keep on keeping on! Love your super power!
  • Jocelyn, there are many different stitches in the realm of "cross stitch" - Back=stitch, Running-stitch, etc. but it's all hand embroidery or "cross stitch". I love this video! Had a blast! P.S: You said the electric pencil sharpener took you back to your childhood. I'm so old, it's the crank version bolted to the wall that takes me back LOL!!
  • When you turn down the wooden aisle and you stopped and you were digging the stuff out of your cart, you missed the one on the left hand side that said Let It Snow, after you picked up the turkey and turn the corner
  • I'm so happy you recognized someone's work and bought the collection.
