Ironically, the majority of these tourist atrocities have nothing British about them whatsoever. Odeon? M&M emporiums? Plastic souvenirs made in China? Completely with Hannah on this; why anyone would want to spend a minute (let alone hours!) in these awful places is beyond me. Avoid Leicester Square like the plague. Go to Chelsea, Soho, Shoreditch, Brick Lane, Kew Gardens, Hampstead. Take it from a Londoner.

LOL the way you said, "It stinks in here." priceless.

Hannah, If you see this message please can you do a video of walking around Mayfair also showcasing the homes and popular sites!

When I was a child the M&M store used to be the Swiss Center, you could buy Swiss products there and it had 4 different restaurants in the basement. Was absolutely amazing food
  • Happy Friday, Hannah! Leicester Square has changed bit since I visited (too many years ago). Really enjoyed today’s vlog. You’re a brave soul and a trooper for enduring the tourist trap for us. I hope you have an awesome weekend! See you Tuesday!

I’m a Londoner and wouldn’t go to Leicester Square/ Piccadily circus often, however, if I were visiting London for the first time its worth seeing/ experiencing to me. It’s like going to NYC and not going to Time Square, or visiting Tokyo and not visiting Shibuya.

"My soul is crying..." I'm weeping with laughter! Thank you, Hannah!
  • Oh Hannah, sorry to disappoint you, but I really enjoyed that! 😃 it is 20 years since I last visited London and back then I really loved that area. I don't think I could handle it now, though. So thank you for making the video. Much appreciated, as always!
  • I'd love you to do a vlog from each of the 32 London boroughs - would be SO interesting. Totally agree with you about Leics Square - not for me - but that £6.50 pistachio cake would have tempted me (love pistachio)!!! x
  • @Marinah007
Yeah never buy anything coming out of a tube!!!! Thanks Hannah, so real and honest, loved the Alley!
  • You are delightful! “This might be … hell on earth - with some good cakes!” I live near NYC and have thought about the tourist/Times Square area everything you said about these areas. And yes! Mostly the same shops and eateries in NYC as London. On the plus side, London looks much cleaner - no bags of trash lining the streets, less scaffolding surrounding buildings. And hopefully it doesn’t smell like weed all the time like NYC does now. Thank you for showing us that there are better options.
  • As much as I love M&M’s it would never occur to me to buy or wear clothing with M&M’s on. I guess it’s fun to see the columns of different colors? The area does look a bit crowded. Reminds me of NYC at Christmas. Thanks for putting up with it all for us! ❤. PS this vlog was NOT boring. Maybe I am biased because I just like you so much, but I love all your videos. I love hearing your take on things and your opinions of what’s worth the time and trouble and what isn’t. Keep up the great work!
  • Ciao Cara, sappi che qualsiasi video, ci fai vedere, non è mai insignificante, forse un po' stressante, per Tè. Ma Noi lo apprezziamo. Ti auguro un buon fine settimana HANNAH. 👑👑👏👏💐💐🇮🇹
  • Your suffering in these tourist traps was rewarded with real summer weather this latter half of the week, hope you enjoyed it! Imagine how bad M&Ms world would have been in 30° like it's been today! 🥵
  • @peitho9408
4:47 Mindy Poppins!!!! 😂😂 Thank you for doing this for us!!
  • @judymoore7996
When I was in London last year, am thankful I didn’t go to any of the areas shown in the video. I agree with you. So many more interesting, nicer and less crowded places to go. One of my favorites is the V&A museum.
  • Out of a morbid curiosity, many years ago, I went into M&M World. It was staggeringly awful and my soul hasn’t fully recovered. A big shout out to the Odeon Luxe in Holloway. Such a beautiful cinema, and the reclining seats are a delight.
  • Thank you for this video. I avoid those areas like the plague. Can’t tolerate these tourist traps. Thanks for braving this tour for us on a Saturday afternoon. Do you spend any time in Islington? I am looking forward to flying in to the Interior Design Show and Focus 2024, part of design show at Chelsea Harbour. Always enjoyable. I have not indulged for years, but if you went for fish and chips where would you go? I see the History Museum is making a free area and huge garden for guests to enjoy. I love to spend time on Conduit Street and Elizabeth street at the design and antique shops, small area to cover but nice and calm to visit. I appreciate your calmer areas you are taking us, even grocery stores are nicer then this one. Thanks again for enduring this hectic time. Calmer days ahead
