I can understand this so much, at the part when they were giving discounts! Because I was shopping in HK and even though I am born in Hong Kong, I look like I am from UK and when I speak Cantonese, the people at the stores would give me discounts. Got two plush toys for 90HKD instead of 120HKD, small discount but better than nothing. Furthermore when I was in the UK and went to Chinatown to buy dumplings and my mum wanted some, I got 6 pieces for 4 pounds instead of 4, the guy was like I'll add extra because you are helping your mum and can speak good mandarin!

Me, as an Indian who speaks Chinese watching the Chinese teacher at 2:20 say that Indians are the fastest Chinese learners 👀🤫. Xiaoma responds with a logical explanation though: Indians are generally multilingual (especially if coming from a big city), and are exposed to multiple completely different and distinct languages at a very early age, so one is exposed to a variety of sounds, tones and grammar structures. This may be a prominent reason as to why the Chinese teacher also felt that Indians are quite good at picking up other languages (Chinese, from her example). Xiaoma was almost single-handedly responsible for me picking up Chines
