Can’t believe how far you’ve come Xiaoma. Speaking 4 different Chinese dialects to native Chinese speakers is incredible! You’re truly a G for bringing communities together

I find it so fascinating how humble these shop owners are. They are so amazed by xiaoma and his ability, yet they speak the same multiple languages too without realizing how they too, are amazing. Beautiful people

I seriously cried when she said “thank you for liking china.” I love that you take the time to learn their language and culture, I wish we all had that discipline, it would break down so many barriers.
  • I love that you're not a flash in the pan. You really know the languages and the people appreciate it very much.

It's interesting how this content never gets old, even when he's just speaking Chinese languages with Chinese people, something he has done so often before, because each interaction is unique. Because of Xiaoma's content being based around interacting with real people, there will always be something to love. Come stop by the West Coast Chinatowns sometime.

When the guy said 'no English' so he talked to him in Chinese was so great. I feel it is vitally important to speak the language of the country you are in but it is nice to know other languages as well. People really need to be able to communicate.
  • I like that he’s not afraid to mess up in front of them amd different people from different countries in general and when they notice he’s genuinely trying, they even help correct him so he can better learn 🤗😌
  • The interaction between you and then gentleman who needed help translating English instructions moved me. As a first-gen I've seen first hand how language barriers can impact folks like my parents. It may seem like such a small gesture but it's acts like these that really bring people together. Love your content!
  • I went to a Vietnamese restaurant in Canada back in 2022. I have a Vietnamese coworker who taught me a few words, although I knew a few words before from attending a Vietnamese church before. I went to sit down at the restaurant in Canada, waitress comes over and speaks to me in English, then I say ‘cam on,’ which means thank you in Vietnamese. She was so shocked and the look on her face had me dying. 😂 Then I speak a little bit more to my friend’s step mom who is Vietnamese and then I swear the waitress was gossiping about me in the sense I was a ‘white guy speaking Vietnamese.’ lol. One of the best memories and I hope I can not only learn more of that beautiful language but also see Vietnam someday. ❤️ 🇻🇳

I thought the man with the lock was testing you at first, but then I realized he was actually asking for help. 😂 That’s amazing man. You’re awesome dude!
  • Hey Xiaoma I just had a cool idea, what if you volunteered to work with these market stalls for a few hours each, then interact with the locals and help them sell their products 🙂
  • @dubsteak
Helping the man work his issue out with his lock was super random and nice :)
