“The best gift you ever gave me and I’m killing him.” The most heartbreaking line of this season it hit me so hard.
-
Before “THINK MARK” we had “I’m killing my boy”
-
Carmilla: Dracula was an old man and a weakling. Alucard: Sure, Jan.
-
Notice how he stops himself from using his claws. He started to several times, but chose a punch or an open palm strike instead. He was protecting Alucard subtly that whole time, even before they reached the boy's room.
-
Dracula: "Think, Alucard! What will you have in 500 years?" Alucard: "You dad... I'll still have you."
-
"I'm killing my boy" is by far the most painful line I've ever heard in any movie. Ironically it took that for Dracula to regain what little semblance of humanity he had left.
-
A reminder, that this was Dracula who was practically dying from blood starvation. Imagine if he's fed plenty before this fight.
-
Easily one of the best interpretations of Dracula ever made. He was so good in this show.
-
Most beautiful about that scene is that Dracula realized he still had somebody which is dear to him.
-
"The best gift you ever gave me and i'm killing it" it's not only about Alucard, but his humanity.
-
Dracula ends up being a better dad than Omni man wow 😭
-
I like how as soon as Dracula gets slightly annoyed he just starts wiping the floor with Alucard. Really shows the difference in strength and speed.
-
Dracula painted his son's room? THAT'S something I want to see.
-
Dracula's cape goes in more directions than my life has.
-
Everybody talking about how strong Dracula is and I still be tearing up at this " I am killing my boy moment"
-
One of the best aspects of this fight is how it portrays superhuman strength. They're not just lifting heavy shit or throwing gut punches, they are devastatingly fast, and the impact of every blow is felt in the surroundings even when it misses.
-
Notice how he always stops himself from using his claws at the last second. He could've killed Alucard at any point during that fight, but the small part of him that hadn't been consumed utterly by grief fought to restrain the proverbial beast.
-
"Look how I've massacred my boy..."
-
I think one little detail I loved about the end of the fight is how when they walk into the room it’s all red and intense but that because we’re watching this intense fight filled with rage just like Dracula but when he finally realizes where he is, he calms down and his violent rage goes away and the room immediately turns back to calm blues and the room that was seconds ago this intense lighting is now super calm and beautiful. It’s an interesting representation of how anger like that can cloud an image

I see Dracula has adopted the Asian way of parenting
